Amazing mate do you think its possible to hold its temps if you dont cover pond ?
@AKoiEnthusiast3 ай бұрын
Cheers for watching. With the pond uncovered the ASHP would be working more and costing more in electricity but if you could find something to cover the pond with like a Tarpaulin of sheet of some sort it would reduce the wind chill massively and make it more efficient.

Hi. Thanks for great video. I bought used one spinclean 12000 and have a question. Can I check UV and cleaning motor without connecting water hoses or it has some water sensor ? Thank you
@AKoiEnthusiast4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. There isn't a water sensor as such but with the lid on and it connected to the electrics the light should come on and the cleaning motor will work with the knob turned to clean. The motor will turn as normal and won't effect anything but the UV will burn out if left on for a while without the water in there.

Good afternoon, I have just invested in a Remora Proffessional 14kw Inverter HP (from AES), and even though they are slightly different from your model, by watching your two videos about how you have set your ASHP up has answered a lot of questions in my head, understanding the by-pass system, the operation of control panels instructions (smart etc.) . really have enjoyed watching these videos, Thank you.

Have you got full flow from the pump going through the air source just trying to work out how I’m going to fit an ahp to my pond
@AKoiEnthusiast10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. Yes all the flow from the filter goes through the ASHP. I have a bypass installed too so in the Spring, Summer & Autumn I can bypass the ASHP. Having said that. A couple of times the water hit 27 degrees so I had the ASHP cooling down to 25 to help

Brilliant!!! I've been keeping a small koi pond for a few years now nothing like the systems that you use just a Ecopower+ filter and UV . It's great to be able to watch how someone like yourself does the general maintenance, i also use the plastic containers from DIY shops and a wet/ dry vacuum to remove muck from the bottom of the filter unit. I do have one question I'm starting to connect a extra Ecopower ready for the warmer months hoping to get a couple more koi this year, will i need to add Some filter aid liquid to the pond after setting new filter? . Thanks for great video, Gwen.

I've not really had to put it to the test but I would imaging it would work well with sand, pebbles and fines

Nice series of videos mate on the i12. I’m thinking of getting one myself, but my pond is 4500 gallons and I’ve heard conflicting advice on what size pond it can heat. Any suggestions in your experience? Cheers
@AKoiEnthusiast10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. The i12 has worked non stop and I haven't had a problem. Once the water is up to temp it hardly runs. I was recommended a smaller unit for my pond but they were out of stock so I ordered the i12. Highly Recommended and very efficient and cheap to run

Thank you for the video. Very interesting I was looking for a similar video I have bought Bakki shower, and I am on the way to precious drum filter compact M, from oases but that I was not going to connect the bakki shower with sprinclean i was going to connect only directly with a pump 15 to 20 k and not use any spin clean 30000 Is that possible?
@AKoiEnthusiast10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. Having the Springclean fitted means I have never had to disassemble or clean my Bakki Shower. You definitely need some sort of pre filter (That doesn't reduce the flow too much) other wise the Bakki will block up with fines

I’ve got the remora i12 on my 3700 gallon koi pond. It’s worked well over the last two years during the winter. I am just wanting to know what setting do you have it on as mine is set to eco mode and I’m wondering if I should set it to full heating mode as when it is on eco mode it can be on for a couple of days just trickling a bit of heat into the pond to maintain the pond temperature which is costing money. When I bought the heatpump I was told it was ok for my size pond by the company that sells it here in the uk.

Sorry for the delay. I just run the ASHP on the Smart Heating Mode and it just sits there quietly working away

When doing water changes can you just use the garden hose,i have no room for the bracket and tubes?
@AKoiEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Some people have it as a temporary set up and just get it out and connect the hose pipe to the filter and let it trickle in. So as long as the incoming mains tap water goes through the VYAIR (or similar) at a slow flow rate then YES it will work just as good.
