Tack them all together. Drill the holes. Grind them apart. Quick and identical. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations Rachel. I too am an Evolution Power Tools fan!! I have the 14-inch chop saw, the 8-inch multi-material circular saw (able to cut metal up to 1/8-inch thick), and just got a birthday gift for myself, the 10-inch dual bevel miter saw with MSS+ heavy duty stand. I would love to have a mag drill but that is way outside of the scope of my needs so I have to be content with watching other fans like you use and enjoy their Evolution mag drills. Cheers from an American who has retired to Portugal and is learning metal work 😊

Love this. I'm really into getting the circular saw as well, hopefully one of these days I can add it to my collection. The miterng saw is definitely worth its weight in gold.

I used a Milwaukee at work some years ago to drill out some seized 2" dia x 6" long clamp arm pivot pins. It took awhile but I got it done.

Back when I was working, I had seen mag drills used but never used one myself. One of the most awesome machines made. We had a steel I beam frame to drill holes and mount. I thought it would take all day. Got the frame set in place and assembled then went to lunch. Came back from lunch and We drilled all the holes after marking with a transfer punch in 45 minuets. Couldn't believe it.

I work out of mechanic service truck. It was not to safe drilling in the vise and standing on rear bumper. So I got the Evolution drill. I took a 3/8 plate about 18" x 24" drilled 5/8 holes to mock a fabrication work bench, built some clamps. Welded angle bar on bottom to mount in vise. Now I got a drill press on the truck.

Mag drills are an indispensable tool in any fab shop. Bits are expensive , but well worth the cost. We use them every day where i work, from drilling holes to countersinking . Hard to be a fabricator without one. :)

Great video, love the enthusiasm and excitement, when trying a new piece of kit. I feel the same, just can't do the moves anymore. I have the same drill and it's first job was to drill approximately 100 16mm holes in 10mm steel for a fabrication table. Breezed through it and the annular bit is still sharp. Next project maybe?.

That drill the ticket and I used one that had a beast of a magnet, even for vertical application where the magnet can support my weight. Have a little oil can to cool the bit.

I have a question. What do you use to keep your welding table from rust?
@rachelbohnet6 ай бұрын
Well my table doesn't get wet often, and it's not humid in my shop..Plus, I constantly am grinding spatter off the top, so it never gets a chance!

there is only 1 downside to mag drill's you need to have a minimum thickness steel for the magnet to hold properly but apart from that they really are fantastic to use.
