It's "ten", meaning heaven. It changes in Capcom Fighting Jam/Capcom VS SNK 2 because he had absorbed Orochi's power from Rugal causing it to change to "shinjin" (godlike)

Well, the puzzle fighter version did that years ago. Also, I don't mind them showing it if what they are showing is more interesting than the implication. Like SF6 is something so beyond expectation and terrifying that it honestly works just as well, if not better.

Street Fighter 6 has the worst one. The sound design is lacking, he barely does any punches himself and just finishes off with clones, for whatever reason. There's no violet flame effects with each hit anymore, either. The black and white is a neat idea, and I get it that it's supposed to look like a painting, but in my opinion the execution is terrible. Finally, the ending pose is the only saving grace, and I think it's the best one ever. Such a fall off from his SFV iteration. That one's the best. I love how it goes dark, and gives you enough of a glimpse of Akuma to tell you what's going on, but enough to keep the mysterious vibe of the classics. It also looks reminiscent of an horror movie, since you can only see with clarity his lens-flare crimson eyes. The sound effect is also top notch and makes it impactful and satisfying. In contrast, the finishing pose is lacking. It's too zoomed in, and the SFV model is not the best out there, not to mention the weird background. But the actual super is amazing. Unrelated to this video, but his SF6 theme song is also lacking. It's a calm traditional Japanese sounding song, and that would be fine, if not for the fact that Akuma is just as brutal as ever. I expect the song to drop and become something energetic and badass, but it never does. If he, like Ryu, matured and became a more zen karate master, it would fit. But he didn't. Therefore, his Third Strike theme is still the best, imo. It's fast-paced and badass, while still sounding traditionally japanese. Way more fitting for Akuma.

I agree with your comment entirely. His sf5 raging demon is the best.. the one in sf6 lacks the attacks that emphasize this is a burst of attacks from a raging demon.. but hey who knows.. maybe the sf6 version may end up growing in people as they continue to play.

The raging demon is the coolest and most boring and lazy super, just a fade to black/white and some copy pasted hit effects. The gem fighters at least showed some of the attack despite being comical. Took them until V to actually make it real great
