Why? Why do you guys insist that being restricted to scrolling left and right one at a time, especially with a game with a roster of this size is better? I do agree that they need to condense the characters a bit like putting the transformations into a secondary selection screen after you select the character so you don’t see a full page of different Gokus, Vegetas, Friezas, etc.

18 versions of goku if I'm not mistaken that's crazy. I like the layout sparking zero which seems to be unpopular opinion. I just hate the time it takes for a character to load in and make their entrance, and then finally for the camera to pan in a little on them.

The character screen in sparking zero is atrocious ... The game is good and I get that if you want a specific character you can go straight for them but most fans like to power up to the forms most of the time. So keeping the roster organized with sub-selection of forms would be perfect ... Literally everyone was asking and hoping that it would be like that and Im sure told the devs that but they couldn't be bothered with such a minor change? That's just strange to me ...

In Tenkaichi 1 you have to unlock Vegeta Oozaru, Kid Goku, Kid Goku/Gohan Oozaru, Kame Sennin and Tao Pai Pai with the dragon balls

It’s not the models that’s the issue, it’s the fact that every transformation isn’t condensed into the single character slot like the first 3 games. It makes the character selection look pretty off putting, besides that the game IS peak dragon ball.

It's possible we will, but that doesn't really mean anything. All GT characters have (GT) on their names, including those like Super Baby and Omega Shenron who don't appear in anything else.

​@@HarshitNeogit's not even considered part of the Tenkaichi series in Japan. TTT is simply called Tag vs, and the Tenkaichi games in Japan contain SPARKING! Somewhere in the title, which isn't the case for Tag Team or for Ultimate Tenkaichi( it's known as Ultimate Blast in Japan).

Man, I forgot how ugly the BT3 character select was, too. Overall I think Sparking Zero is a really double-edged character select; the left side of the screen is terrible, it looks terrible and all the transformations should be condensed, and it should be organized by arc instead of the random order it's in now. However, the *rest* of the screen is easily the best we've ever had. The full character model coming in with an animation and pose fitting their character looks fantastic, the way it's always set on the background of the stage you've picked is excellent, as is the way the camera just turns around them once you start the match, and if you're picking a whole team then you get to see them all next to each other and neat things can happen (like if you pick the whole Ginyu Force they not only all stand in their team pose but introduce themselves in unison). And the readability of the right side of the screen is fantastic, getting to see your current proficiency and all the techniques they have. I think the SZ character select could easily destroy any of the others if they just condensed forms, reorganized, and added a bit more personality to the actual UX aesthetic.
