ngl Stronghold Legends is my fav! 3 campaign stories are masterpieces! If you didnt played it yet, Three campaigns conclude Story of Camelot (Arthur and the round table), Story of Dietrich and Siegfried (Idk much about the lore, but I guess it's Germanic legend), and finally story of Dracula.

Yeah it was sad that stronghold crusader 2 was switched to 3D and not isometric 2D. That would’ve been unique for the crusader series.

Fr bro. The thing that makes stronghold crusader special is the 2d artwork. When they make new stronghold game thats 3d, it just feels like its not stronghold anymore for some reason.

The issue is if you pay attention, Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader Castles are alive and battles actually feel like battles, in Stronghold 2 the towns are just too quiet, what legends somehow fixed and Stronghold 3 made it even more alive! But stronghold 3 messed with the battles made them dull and boring. Stronghold Crusader II, has done even worse in terms of keeping castles alive and only slightly improved battles

No stronghold was so good as the first one, or the HD version of it, sadly. Edit: DE included, of course, I think that it would be great if FF studio was about to build better mechanics to the Stronghold 1 style, than to create such different games.
