Guys, there has been a "text" mistake in the video. There are all the games in the video, but, due to a Sony Vegas error, the year 2007 is everywhere. I can remember coming home from school everyday just to play online blitzkrieg 2. Game was so much fun. The series had so much potential and blew it with blitzkrieg 3 trying to copy company of heroes.

Switching to a full 3d graphic style was their wrost mistake, if they kept the 2D/sprite style and expanded upon It with new core game changes, this game could have been eternal.

Then it would be simply copy paste of first game and it would become irrelevant anyway in RTS market. Blitzkrieg 2 for all it's flaws, at very least tried to push series forward, and did it far better than for example Stronghold series.

age of empires did the same thing with aoe 3. I dont remember if they were succsesfull or not but i hated it.

@@mertarican5456 You see, AoE devs were smart. They still released dlcs and supported Age of Empires 2(definitive edition is an insane remaster), while still supporting Age of Empires 3 even when 4th one came now. They were able to capture various people with different taste instead of abandoning one.

I know I am late bro but the switch from isometric generated rendering was also one of tech induced ones. It was literally needed to switch to 3D due to hardware changes. Thats why all the games did It.

In order - Blitz 1 is the best. Blitz 2 is second best. 3 is not even blitzkrieg.

Honestly, the ability to call reinforcements whenever that was introduced in Blitzkrieg 2, killed the biggest appeal that the first Blitzkrieg had.

Maby for you. I found it to be a breath of fresh air, and lack of reinforcements in Blitzkrieg 1 was sometimes both irrational and annoying. Furthermore, it allowed the single maps to be actually played in reasonable amount of time, instead of spending hours on single monstrous ones from Blitzkrieg 1.

I found blitz one too slow. The infantry were useless beyond scouting ahead.

On Blitzkrieg 1 , addon Mission Barbarossa and Mission Kursk was the best !It was my first str about the Second World War and I still play it 21 years later! Much better than anything that has existed in 3D since...

When I was 12 my parents gave me a gift - Blitzkrieg - Total war on a CD. I've completed this game 5 times. BK1 is still one of the best RTS of all the time I'm surprised there are so many comments in English. I thought this game was only popular here in Eastern Europe.

It really looks ugly visually, but yes the new things they added are great. They removed a lot of good mechanics though… and add that to the very ugly 3D graphics… it’s not the best blizkrieg title.

Всё таки первый Блицкриг самый лучший. Да, в третьем красивая графика, но вот эта камера, будто от третьего лица, для меня она всё портит. Ну и конечно ламповость первой версии никто никогда у неё не заберёт.

Вот что мне нравится в первом блице ( я сейчас ее прохожу впервые) это интерфейс и сам сценарий боя. В других некоторые элементы смотрятся чужеродно.

How do you play the steam version of Blitzkrieg Anthology (steam)? The game seems to start but then Thge screen says "invalid format". Please help me. It has nothing to do with the compatibility mode. At least I already tried it with WinXP SP3 and starting as administrator.
