Can we all agree that CB3 was the best out of the bunch? Snow is probably the hardest thing to program, even worse than water. Example N64 fight, 1080 snowboarding vs. Waverace. Who wins?

coolboarders 2 was so great :) thanks for the video, i didn't knew there was so many games, i thought it ended at 3 or 4 I stopped at coolboarders 3, it was less fun,less crazy, controls are hard and slow i bought back coolboarders 2, that is probably the nostalgia talking, but it's still fun to play nowadays :) And SSX tricky, though not the same game serie, but the same crazy vibe, much better and crazier,kind of the unofficial sequel I wouldn't be surprised that the developpers took inspiration and/or were fans of coolboarders 2

I played Rippin' Riders back in '99 with my DreamCast. I still remember grabbing and opening up the disc case everymorning and putting the disc inside de DC and listening the swirl sound from the boot up. Jimmy's soundtrack (Dreaming) is the one that brought me into trance music and 'till these day I listen to it while commuting to work. I wanna go back in time!!

Never played the first one cool borders 2 is the one I grew up with when I was a child I would spend hours and hours playing it. I still have it in my possession today sometimes I'll pull it out and play it was so much fun I loved the second level number three with all the trees was really good. And most importantly the soundtrack is terrific not to mention the announcer when you crash and then he makes fun of you that was funny as well. WHAT ARE YOU DOING???!!!! HAHAHA YOUR DOING TERRIBLE!! 😂😂😂

Cool Boarder 2 was the best imo , it had that early ps1 charm to it , Rippin' Riders looks basically like Cool Boaders 2 upgrade i will have to check i t out, didnt even know because of naming

I guess once SSX came out, they gave up. I remember having a lot of fun with CB3. It must have gotten good reviews or had a good demo out or something because I didn’t play any of the others for whatever reason.

I'm genuinely shocked that Sony abandoned this IP, imagine what they could do with today's technology? It would look photorealistic most likely. If they kept the gameplay fun and gave the soundtrack a perfect variety of music genres with tons of offline and online gameplay options? It would sell very well.

Sony & Sega own this series and the last game released was in 2001 and that was for NA only, would be pretty cool to see this again, maybe when snow boarding becomes a trend? Can't currently see it selling well enough to make a game but would like to a game for this series again in the future.

Да самая первая игра про сноуборд была 4я часть, очень круто там все сделали, помню рубил за мелкого Shaun White, в 3ю тоже играл но очень мало, 1.2 части никогда не видел в продаже, и мне кажется они неиграбельны совсем, остальные части все мимо как то прошли, интересно поиграть в версию на ps 2 ✌️

the later ones on PS1 use too much goraud shading on the snow. it's almost FFVII's snow stage level of detail, a bit too flat, even if the characters look much better.

@@AllSchoolGameplays fair enough. someone else did a 2-part 1-hour endless Trick Mode run for Cool Boarders 2, at least that convinced me to try play Cool Boarders 2 just now
