My only problem with Stalker 2's map is that, all of the classic locations are now moved to different places and located differently. For example, Brain Scorcher should be right near the passage to Pripyat and later Powerplant, and near Brain Scorcher should be a Red Forest location, because that is where it's located in Shadow of Chernobyl according to the info that is given to the player by one of the characters. But now in Stalker 2 Brain Scorcher are located somewhere left on the map, while Red Forest is somewhere else. And instead near the center of the zone, we have Junkyard (or in-game name as Trash) location, that is actually supposed to be not far from the Kordon. Same with the Swamp location, that should be not far from Kordon too, but now it is a part of Zaton for some odd reason, and Zaton should be near the center of the zone, since it's not far from Pripyat according to OG game lore. But again, instead of that all classic locations are scattered around the map in different places where they have no sense to be. Yes, I understand that maybe devs wanted to place them like that to resemble a real life placement, but it actually ruined the immersion for me. I'm not saying that Stalker 2 is bad, I'm just saying that placing classic locations around the map in different places where it doesn't make sense, should never happen. And those locations should have stayed where they were according to the OG games world and lore.

New map is cursed! I hate how they retconed the shit out of the old map! Army Warehouses should be the border between north and south and they removed the Barrier too! I dont give a shit about being realistic its an alternative timeline so the Zone not being like in our univers is not a bad thing at all, correcting the CNPP-Pripyat location is a good change but the rest which was made up in the first place should have been left alone. Like playing Clear Sky is completely imposible in the new map SoC is meh meybe you can do it at best too. The stupid rivers and lakes are annoying as hell forceing you to walk even longer distances especialy in sub places where there are no guides like Burnt Forest and Duga! They completely butchered Jupiter and Janov region not to mention that Jupiter Factory is not even in the game, hell even the Power Plant itself is missing!

It's more accurate to real life in 2. Not a big deal honestly

@@ncrranger2281 Well, I'm not as critical about it as you, I just don't like how old locations was placed but I agree with you for the most part. Also, the Lemansk from Clear Sky in Stalker 2 is completely out of bounds and it's not in finished state. As for the Powerplant, it's in the game and you can see it from the distance, but you can't legally get to it.

Very interesting video, i must say. I am picking up on stalker and decided to play the first 3 games in order. So seeing the evolution from something that seemed rushed to something AAA.

It kinda pisses me off that none of the factions built/fixed anything at their bases

I dont like the different nature in STALKER 2. The trees look strange and stupid.
