Very interesting. I remember the former British video game publisher and developer Core Design. They were best known for their original Tomb Raider series. In 1996 it was acquired by Eidos Interactive (now Square Enix). In May 2006, the Core Design personnel and assets were acquired by Rebellion Developments but Eidos kept the name Core and its IPs, and the company became Rebellion Derby, which was then shut down in March 2010. I think the Core Design library and intellectual properties including the original Tomb Raider series are owned by Square Enix as a result of its acquisition of Eidos.
