Hl opposing force explosive penguin are not cut. Its a secret weapon. Also, i found out that half life alpha has shadow but in original half life but doesn't have shadows. We only seen shadows in screenshot. Btw, nice video

Sniper files are so cliched. I like the final mechanic where the 357 and the crossbow both have some of it's functions spread among them, without either being the uber-powerful sniping weapon. To conserve their ammo, there's the pistol, which is more accurate than the automatic weapons

@@engineerbot There was supposed to be a segment on the Borealis [In the HL2 Beta it was supposed to be a Combine ship and had no connection to Portal] where you would have to extinguish the engine room so it wouldnt explode. You can actually play that segment in a mod made for the beta. The weapon was cut because this was the only area where you would have to use it, and the Borealis in it's beta form was cut from the game anyway.

@@xXUnhingedDevXx The model is of a Heckler & Koch (aka H&K) MP5SD which is a H&K MP5 model with an integrated suppressor hence the SD label which is an abbreviation for the german word Schalldämpfer which in english translates to Sound Suppressor. It’s more realistic for it to have a more tame sound compared to the retail version because of the suppressor, although I assume they cut the idea to have it silenced, but possibly due to time constraints they kept the same model that still had the integrated suppressor.

@@TheJoJoFan9k suppressors don't silence the sound that much. Plus it also depends of the velocity of the ammo you're using. Subsonic ammo does get silenced well. Plus it's black Mesa technology so it might just be a wired heat shield

@@xXUnhingedDevXx I know suppressors don’t do much to reduce the sound on certain guns but I think the idea valve had before fit the model a bit better. The dropped model for the MP5SD is instead a MP5A3 which likely cements the fact they cut the idea to have it suppressed like in the early version, but didn’t take the effort to alter the viewmodel afterwards to fit the dropped version which the HECU use.

13:03 is wrong. The actual name for that cut weapon is 'The Viewfinder.' 'Ludmila' is the name that was going to be given to the Heavy's unlockable 'Natascha' minigun. And bonus points for the Tranquiliser Gun having a magazine and multiple rounds. It was intended to be a top-loading 1-shot weapon that would distract the enemy player.

I'm glad that grenades didn't make the cut in final Team Fortress 2. Sometimes matches get incredibly chaotic and I can't imagine how chaotic it would get with bombs and their variations. Also in Half-Life 2 they deleted some of the guns because they were seen as "useless". However, Flare Gun would be so useful in Episode 1 especially for the underground level. I remember that I was trying to get an achievement about not using any bullets and underground level giving me such a hard time. Some of the guns turned into current weapons as we can see. Some of them was meant for the Deathmatch only but somehow they cancelled them. What is interesting is they didn't want to give players too many guns because they thought it would kill the gameplay and importance of some of the guns which they were right if you think about it

I'm sure you might have heard this from someone else, but the weapons from HL 2 (not the beta) are not cut weapons, they are used ONLY BY NPCs, the rations and suitcases are seen equipped by the NPCs in the train station in City 17, Annabelle is Father Grigori's shotgun and the Alyx Gun, as the name says, is Alyx's gun. The viewmodels are broken (except for Annabelle, which uses the same model as the normal shotgun) because they are only meant to be shown in the NPC's hands. Either way, nice video, really liked it :) Edit: The one weapon I didn't know about from the HL2 Beta was the Brickbat, and I just read it was actually to pick up objects. The only obejcts known are rocks (four models, all identical), Cremator heads, Headcrabs (mirroring the Snark from Half-Life), and beer bottles

Why the Sniper Rifle and Binoculars in your HL2 alpha version don't have their crosshair reticules in the zoom mode? They had them in mine. Also, you didn't show the welding ability and callback of the red spheres of the Physgun, actual fire extinguishing ability of the Fire Extinguisher and i-Rifle's ability to set enemies on fire (and why in your version it is misaligned, much like the citizen package and citizen briefcase? In my version it was aligned properly and looked identical to the retail version's AR2). Also, you forgot to show the underbarrel grenade launcher firemode of the OICW (or was it cut from your version of the game?) and throwable headcrabs ("brickbat" "weapon" was actually the ability to pick up small objects like bottles, rocks, headcrabs, etc, and use them as throwable weapons, which was later given to the to the Gravity Gun) and you also forgot to show the "Sticky Launcher", Cremator's signature "Immolator" weapon and you could also show a proper re-created AlyxGun weapon model with "unfold from pistol to SMG" and "fold back to pistol from SMG" animations from "Half-Life 2 Capture the Flag / HL2CTF" mod, and also show the rest of the "firemodes" of the S.L.A.M. ("grenade" mod, "tripmine" mod, cluster-bomb mode, etc, the Thumper (portable antlion repeller) and properly show the "hopwire" inside some room or corridor, where they split to several "clones" of itself, which stick to the walls and other surfaces, and wait until something touches any of the "tripwires" which are connecting them with the "main" ball hanging in the middle between them on those tripwires.

the footage used for the ludmila is a custom weapon for the sniper, the actual ludmila was supposed to be a minigun for the heavy. it's name is referenced in the files for the natascha, if i remember correctly the lead pipe was also intended for the heavy

Citizen suitcase and package are not cut. They are used by NPCs in c17 for time and resources saving purposes. As for Annabelle, it's used by Grigori. As for Alyxgun, it's used by Alyx.

Idk much about guns, but there is no such thing as "silence weapons" there are suppressed weapons which is just a quite version of that weapon. Idk much about firearms so don't take any of this for granted. (aside from the no such thing as silenced weapons)

Here are a couple that I know that were used just not exactly handheld or not for the player TAU Cannon (Half-Life 2 Beta) It's used on the Buggy during Highway 17 Citizen Suitcase (Half-Life 2) It's used for the G-Man it's his suitcase Annabelle (Half-Life 2) It's used by Father Grigori it's a special shotgun which can headshot with a random chance Alyx Gun (Half-Life 2) It's Alyx's gun (obviously) I thought I'd just put this here for people who didn't know (yes noclick I know you probably know this stuff already) and I have no idea about the Citizen Package weapon most likely for the G-Man or the Citizens but I honestly don't know.

fun fact, in the tf2 section, that is not all of the cut tf2 weapons, theres actually more basically just like half-life 2 beta, when most of the half-life 2 beta was leaked there was also a beta build of team fortress 2 called team fortress 2: invasion it featured alot of cut weapons that did not make it into the game such as: Laser Rifle Burst Rifle Plasma Rifle Minigun Shield ect ect these are found with in the 2003 beta Team Fortress 2: Invasion Leak
