Need for speed games were one of the first racing games ever made with first launch in 1994 (The Need for Speed). For sure the first few Nfs's were really revolutionary from all aspects, but in the recent years sadly most people could agree that the franchise is not producing as glamorous games as it should.

ProStreet's drifting looked and felt pretty realistic, much like the game's handling model for Grip, Drag and Speed. It all feels so good and so natural, especially with the "Far" camera, the camera just bobs and weaves at the right amount.

I personally go with Hot Pursuit and it’s Remaster. There’s just something that feels satisfying when it slips, but still allows control. That and also when you drift through a Road Block on the two spiral segments. The ones near the middle of Seacrest County.

It's little bit disappointing how Need For Speed Shift has such good graphics, lighting and smoke particles for the time and other games came after that are downgrade in thier graphical department. Nfs shift stills looks like good today and also sad it's gameplay didn't hold that well.

I think its a matter of preference in Heat, they tried to nerf drifting because after the ps2 era drifting was busted. nearly every car could pull off crazy drifts and imo Heat has the best drifting in NFS in a long time

In Most Wanted you could switch to Speedbreaker on a corner and throw yourself into some crazy drifts. Honestly cornering in that game was insane if you knew how to use speedbreaker to your advantage.

Apart from the OGs U1, U2, MW and Carbon, Drifting was MOST satisfying in Hot Purtsuit/HP Remastered, MW 2012, Shift 2, and maybe NFS 2015. I really fell in love with MW 2012 driving mechanics and still have that game to this day! I can still play it for ours. Braking drifts were satisfying AF and combining the handbrake for tight cornering made it amazing. Plus i could feel the difference in handling in every car. Don't know why people don't talk much about it's mechanics, one of the best imo. Can't say much about the titles after NFS 2015. I think it's safe to say NFS 2015 set the norm for the driving mechanics in the succeeding games, only that they weren't improved. All the same didn't like the engine used for those games. They're okay, just not better than the aforementioned. Nb: NFS the RUN is peculiar standalone and probably makes up for terrible mechanics will beautiful graphics and story so i won't slander it much.

I didn't like it because of some KZbinrs opinion of it back then. Then this year I tried it since I got it for a very good deal. Man I was blown away. I couldn't wait to finish work so I can come home and play Payback. I tried to do all the side missions and get 100% of the achievements because I didn't want to the game to end. NFSUG 1-2 and Shift have the most realistic drifts. I hope in the future we can have that perfect NFS game adding up Most Wanted 2005's police chase, Carbon mountain feel drift, good soundtracks like in the only NFS games such as Hot Pursuit 2, MW05, UG 1-2 plus 2015's graphics and good customization (Heat, Payback, 2015, UG 1-2, MW05, and Carbon). Born in ‘04, Underground Rivals was one of my earliest PSP memories, along with Carbon: Own The City, and Hot Pursuit. Looking back from then to now, kinda feeling nostalgic over how much I’ve improved from a no-brake crasher to someone who can actually get a decent challenge sometimes, most notably when I started playing NFS again as NFS Rivals on the PS4. NFS World can't really do it, but yes, NFS Most Wanted can do it with standard physics. You just gotta know how. It's a thing in both of these games called "Real-Drifting", which is outside of drift mode, or just standard gameplay with normal physics. Just takes practice is all. I should make a new video sometime of a new drift. I have my Charger Canyon Drift video which is already perfection.

U2 was used to be really good racing game, you can customize ur car using dyno. It was such a really good game. In 2006s the game was dead because so many online people found trainers, then EA saw this game wasnt played anymore then they shutdown servers in 2010 GOODBYE GOOD TIMES😭

corvette have the satisfying drift but the agera had the perfect drift specially on easy drifter, you can still do it even without the dlc because its already part of the map

It's funny the fact that every game has a full resolution gameplay except MW 2012. Personaly drifting in this game is really hilarious sometimes, I mean with right tuning you can literally go sideways as you go on straight on a highway
