I was, at first, surprised that there were no "Les Claypool" or "Geddy Lee" phases, but then I remembered that they're both essentially vocalists who, on occasion, "dabble" with the bass (and an odd keyboard, for good measure). 😁

I usually don't comment videos but I need to say "Charles, you are awesome!" I would like to see you play together with El Estepario Siberiano. A long time ago the local schools supported kids and gave them training rooms to practice on their instruments. Every year it came to a band battle where all the kids could show what they have learned (or not). One year I saw two guys (drums and bass) who got my whole attention. They were the first gig at that event and they played awesome freaky funky shit. Both were masters at their instruments and you didn't miss other instruments or vocals. That was so cool and I voted for them. At the end the mainstream band won the battle. Just a brief history from the past.
