@@cheeseontop4890 i don't think the timeskip between 3 and 4 are 1000+ years, i know that's the time in real life between ancient greeks and norse mythology, but in gow ragnarok everyone talks about kratos killing the greeks gods like it's something pretty recent that happened in another town, not a ancient legend hundreds of years old not like the writters need to stay 100% faithful to real world history and mythology at this point

well Ascension starts on Orkos' body im pretty sure then when you start the new game, it traditionally starts with kratos' face so Ascension didn't completely abandon it

I will say that the GOW3 menu theme really highlights that Kratos is flat out done playing with the gods, and for me at least, highlights that this man is out for blood. Goes well with the theme of "Don't deal with monsters, lest ye become one." vibe I got from GOW3

Ghost of Sparta broke tradition by placing Kratos on the left side of the screen. Ascension just did away with him and honestly, that’s probably the reason the game wasn’t so well received.
