Fun fact: in the 1989 version, the silver one jabs its plume at each Kiss to the last notes; in the 2012 version, the silver one simply waves its plume back and forth to the last notes.

In the original the silver one motions for the last bell to stop and it doesn't for a split second. As an animator this really bugs me. A tiny little character moment most people including me never noticed.

I love that for about 20 years, the commercial at it's core remained the same.. slight changes in the colors of the candy wrappers but they only changed it once by adding humans and then decided naaaahhhh gonna go back to the original

I come back to these commercials on such a repetitive basis, whereas it feels like nostalgia in it's purest form. I get so lost in reminiscence, I can almost time travel and be exactly where I was 25/26 years ago, back in 1995/96. Even further than that, I can recall being in elementary school, making a Thanksgiving 🦃 with the outline drawing of my hand. Maybe that seems trivial, and perhaps it is. Fond memories, nonetheless. My favorite time to watch commercials, such as these, is in the morning, when it's barely light out. It kind kind of reminds me of getting up early, so I could watch cartoons. During the Holidays, there were always specials that had aired on tv long since before I was born. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Jack Frost - they gave us kids a sense of wonder. It made the anticipation worth while, as we anxiously awaited Christmas day. These days, I wonder if the concept of 'nostalgia' will even occur 20yrs from now. Again, I think back as I continue watching these commercials. The Christmas tunes that came with every commercial remind me of the excitement I felt as a child, when the holidays were near. It's not just the Holidays I miss, when I was in my youth. Times were simple. Often times, I wonder if times seemed so simple because I was a child. Then again, I also wonder if the 90s was the last decade of simplicity. As of current times? Well.. Utter chaos...

Times were way much better back then....i grew up in the 80s and didnt worry about anything like today. It was so much fun back then. And your right watching these commercials was the best. The oldest Hershey kisses commercial was branded by the Hershey company same as Reeses. Anything from the Hershey’s company made it in the first one that was created is Hershey’s the second one that was created is Reese’s but the only ones that have been created by the Hershey Company is Hershey’s
