I'm late as well but zygarde is maintain order as brahma in hindu, shiva who destroys for yvetal and vishnu for xerneas. Vishnu (life) and shiva (death) have power of brahma (order) so zygarde has dragon type which xerneas is immune to and ground type which yvetal is immune to.

The first one brings an incredible amount of nostalgia to me. Even if it is a more recent game, before X and Y, my last Pokemon game was Platinum, and I clocked in over 999+ hours on X. I spent my time breeding Pokemon and battling them online, I always used the Vs. Legendary theme in my battles, and it still doesn’t fail at making my heart sink every time I feel it. The fact that they never told us about Zygarde in XY even though it was the few legendaries in Gen 6. And then it’s at least told in Gen 7. But the anime portrayed it so well to the point it looks like it’s the plot. Quite disappointed that they never told us that Zygarde was in the cave in XY :(

Honestly, I like that they didn’t. It feels like Zygarde was the last legendary you had to actually track down and find hiding at the end of a dungeon like in the old days. And the map description for Terminus Cave was a dead giveaway to me at least… a mine that was abandoned after a “monster” was found in it? Sounds like a legendary's lair to me!

Zygarde is underwhelming. And quite not very planned. Gets a new move when full, but said move is S.Attack, which is bad because its Attack is higher than its S.Attack. Also, complete it basically only makes it gain more HP. I still prefer Flygon and Garchomp.

The idea is based on the 2 cores of zygarde and in the game you are collecting cells for your core and at the end you have to face off against Lysander and his zygarde. I rememeber when XY came out and I saw a blocked off door in Terminus cave. The first reaction was instantly "feels like Cerulean Cave Mewtwo. Guarenteed legend in here". Xerneas starts with X. Yveltal starts with Y. The third had to have Z. Needless to say when I found Zygarde (green is my favorite color) and the Kalos legendary music played I was so hyped he got hit with that good old Master Ball. Currently my favorite legendary today

To be honest, I tried four of all obtainable Poké Balls (excluding the Master Ball, as I only had one) to catch Zygarde, but all of them failed and I had to reset four times.
