People complained so much that when Retro Studios took over the Donkey Kong Country franchise, they replaced King K. Rool and the Kremlings with other villains, but I think they did the right thing. I'm sick of Bowser being the main villain in all Mario and Yoshi games, and even in Mario games where Bowser is not the main villain, he still appears as an ally or a secondary villain, the Donkey Kong franchise deserved to have villains that aren't K. Rool, and the Wario franchise keeps sending new villains.

there's no problem of Bowser being the final boss of most mario games, the issue are the battles against him, they are too repetitive, specially the new super Mario Bros ones. just look the 3d world battle, one of the best ones because he uses your own power ups like the bell or the cherry, and his goal weren't kidnapping peach, thats why too much people love the King K rool battles, he could be a pirate, a boxer or even a goddam Frankenstein, having conpletely different attacks in every of them

People also liked K Rool because Yknow, he was a fun villian. He tried to kidnap and starve monkeys by taking their food source, he could have multiple personas, he tried to blow up a damn island. His boss battles were all different without repetition. I don’t mind the new DK villains but Tiki Tong was your standard Head & Hands boss. And Lord Fredrick taking over DK Island was a cool idea, but his boss fight was just K. Rool 1 but a redux

It irritates me heavily that during the Shadow Queen fight when she was down to very little health, the player didn't use the full bar of the star power, which would end the fight really frickin quick at that point... I strongly dislike when players do that.
