@@SG_SAASS98 The 3DS remake of "Superstar Saga" is pretty good, as is "Dream Team". I just don't know where they went so wrong with "Bowser's Inside Story", but given what Alpha Dream was going through at the time maybe they weren't focused.

i think thats mostly because luigi is the weaker brother. mario has less of a problem to throw luigi onto his shoulders to keep him safe, but luigi i guess isnt strong enough to do the same or doesnt have the confidence to safely lift him

The original Bowser's Inside Story had the BEST death cries for the brothers. It genuinely sounds like they're shocked, scared, concerned, and worried that the other brother got taken out. All other cries are SEVERE downgrades, even the Bowser's Inside Story remake. I expected Brothership to at least TRY to replicate that feeling, given that the game is about bonds, like the brotherly bond the Mario Bros. share, but no, they don't even HAVE them screaming each other's names! You can barely hear their concern for each other in those generic shock cries, what a miserable way to botch up the theme!

What's weird is that they do say one another's names in Brothership, but it's only heard when picking the KO'd one up to dodge enemy attacks instead of when they actually get KO'd.

honestly the entire sound design of BiS is just peak. from the bros death cries, to the battle music hyping you up, to even the sound they do when entering a fight "LET'S A GO. Okie Dokie". i just wish brothership wouldve taken a slice from the music design of BiS as i jsut find the msic there pretty uninteresting

While there's probably an aspect of bias against Kevin Afghani (understandable, Charles was the original that many grew up with, it's hard to move on from a legend like him), as far as I know he's only done proper vocal work for 3 games so far. Super Mario Bros Wonder WarioWare: Move It! Mario & Luigi: Brothership I'm sure that with time Kevin's vocal skill as the Mario Bros will improve. Only time will tell.
