I haven’t seen many Mario kart 8 custom tracks in my day. But this is by far the best one. The lighting, Background and everything is just perfect. Hope it gets added to the booster course pass.

It’s not very faithful to the original. For what it is, it’s cool, but the remake should have the sliding Thwomps, the narrow wooden bridges, the big staircase that leads to the grassy hedges outside, etc. This one forgot all of that, I assume due to limitations of custom tracks

Is it difficult to make the shaders (shadows and lighting) look like official courses?

I'm not sure if it's difficult, I just don't know how to do it. I will try get around to learning it at some point. It looks quite rough without good lighting

there are 2 type of baked textures for Mario Kart 8 a red and yellow colored one. this one is baked shadow [green channel] and Ambient occlusion [red channel]. and a baked lighting for static light emitters (like bowser castle's chandeliers or magma illuminating rocks/walls).
