There's a 2010 genome analysis article by Philip Morin and others; and they reported that it seems Pacific Northwest Transients are the most genetically diverged (with Residents, Offshores, North Atlantic and Antarctic types more closely related).

This was like a short mini version of 'HOME' by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, at least in part it reminded me. Still a classic and must-watch sobering viewing. It's a "god's-eye" overview of the birth and evolution of our HOME with the introduction of the human species and our exponentially growing mpact in tandem with our exponential population growth and technological development. As a species, we still haven't responded correctly since that message put out by Arthus all those years ago. Thank you, for highlighting the issue again here. That was my main take-away.

Mammals, or to be specific, stem--mammals have been around as long as the reptiles and parareptiles, they even ruled the Earth for quite some time before the dinosaurs began overtaking the limelight, only to reemerge after the non-avian dinosaurs died out

Selection is often sexual. The Lucifer principle and the selfish gene are good reads if you need to brush up on general evolutionary theory.

I would add that the red queen is also a good book by matt ridley if I recall, It's about how the evolution of sexual beings helps gene swap to avoid Viruses and parasites.

So if the breeding of Wolf to dog is a proven method of selective evolution then, in human evolution what was the other sub species humanoids we had to of bred with to have evolved to our current form??
@hunger4wonder3 жыл бұрын
I think you misunderstood. Yes, our ancestors interbred with other humanoid species, namely the neanderthals but that has little if anything to do with our current form. As it was explained in the video, species evolve through natural selection and that process is highly connected with the environment and the pressure it applies leads to natural evolution. You see our ancestors already had more or less our current body shape but through pressure of environment and lifestyle we got to how we look now. I hope i helped in elucidating.
@hunger4wonder3 жыл бұрын
And another thing... im sorry but please don't say "sub species humanoids". There is no such thing. Neanderthals are a species not a sub species. Chimpanzees are a species not a sub species. Homo Sapiens are not a superior species. We are just a species.

@ij25134 жыл бұрын
His knowledge on orcas are second to none. But gets less interesting when he speaks about evolution, natural selection as if it’s a fact when there’s still no hard evidence for it. Here’s a thought he claims humans came from apes and have been around for about a million years. What if someone tried to work out how long humans have been around for by calculating the statistics for how much world’s population is rising by in every decade or century for example. Then maybe work backwards to get a general idea how long humans could’ve been around for, taking into account contraception is a modern thing and wouldn’t of been around in the past. Hmm, I wonder...
@familyvideos5403 Жыл бұрын
There's nothing but hard evidence for it. Mountains of it. And as far as how the human population has grown in history, you should look it up. It only started growing exponentially relatively recently. It was a hard living in the past. It's fascinating to learn about!
