Peggy is practically the definition of a classy, but badass woman. Carries herself with grace, moral and authority. Knows how to dress for the occasion, and practically fights super well in dresses and skirts! She has always been one of my favourite minor characters in The MCU.

Ok, so don't get me wrong, I love Peggy Carter and that she's a badass woman. But... the scene when Steve asks Peggy for her opinion on his shield always felt a little bit wrong to me. Like, ok, sure, he was kissing another girl. And that might make you a little jealous. But.... what if the shield hadn't held up? Peggy could have KILLED Steve! Jealousy doesn't excuse attempted murder!!

My guess is that she definitely knew it would hold up and that the bullets wouldn't ricochet. They've probably tested it enough. Still, what she did was extremely unsafe, but it was also set in 1940s. Health and safety probably wasn't as strict as it is now. And finally, in terms of it being a movie, the point of the scene was to show that Peggy had very strong feelings for Steve. She was hurt, but she is normally a very stoic person, so I guess that was her way of expressing her upset.
