Warrior within was the darkest one. The metal ost, the blood, dismemberment, color palette, the feeling of complete loneliness (no companions or voices inside your head), the anxiety of being followed by the dahaka... My favorite game from the trilogy.

Regardless of the public image of Prince of Persia 2008, this game was like walking through an animated piece of Art for me; its an unfathomable experience that can only be realized by actually playing the game. The world designing made it feel like an rectangular geometry where you always get back to the center of it. The feeling of an isolated utopia or distopia (based on the story progressing) where your only companion is a beautiful lady, a genuinely fitting character, alot of chemistry, with the air romantic, and interactions based on teasing and immersing dialogues... Fantastic follow-up story, art design, sound design (loved the isolated echoing effect over everything!) and music.
@main_stream_media_is_a_joke2 жыл бұрын
For me only the artstyle was amazing. Personally I absolutely hate hub world level design simply because I want a progression and comming back to the central hub after completing one area seems like a regression rather than a progression... especially in a story driven game like this. Not to mention the prince was a twat and sounded and mostly acted like a jersey shore douchebag. Elika was powerfull enough to literally save the prince from falling to certain death, but needed to jump on his back when climbing....wtf was that? Except for the gfx and art which were utterly beautiful, the rest of the game felt totally disjointed. They had good ideas but were not able to create a cohesive package.

"Unmatchable by any game" is a huge exaggeration. A lot of developers put their heart and soul in the game they are working on. God of War series by Santa monica is also a good example, Valve too, i mean when Valve was developing Half-Life nobody belived in them and it was basically a newly formed studio with no big record to speak of making a triple A level title. And they ended up blowing everyone out of the water, Half-Life was a huge commercial and critical success, it is even considered to be one of the best games of all time by many.

2008 is a fantastic game, I so wish that series coud've continued, but people got mad it wasn't a slasher like the original trilogy.
