Is it really that positive though? I mean, she's basically Peter Pan and Wendy Darling merged together. She basically ran away from home to avoid dealing with her mother's death. She ended up in a magical place where she never grows old, playacts as the mother to a bunch of orphans, forgets her family's existence for long stretches of time, and returns only intermittently, long after the rest of her family is also gone. Rosalina's story is rather bittersweet.

Fun Fact: In Super Mario Galaxy, Rosalina’s initial appearance, if you go up close to Rosalina and use the camera in the correct angle, you can see both of her eyes, and they’re normal. I found this out as a kid during gameplay, but I’m sure someone found out before me. Don’t ask why I was zooming in on Rosalina as a kid. 🙃

When I used to play Super Mario Galaxy 2 as an 8 year old child, I remember that Mail Toad used to receive Rosalina's letters that she wrote to her young Luma companion. When I saved Peach from Bowser (again, because I saved her for the first time in Super Mario 3D Land at the age of 7), Rosalina appeared in front of Mario and friends. This is how I met this beautiful Nintendo character. I first played as Rosalina in Super Mario 3D World! I also got other games in which she appears as a playable character such as Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, and I used her more than any other playable character! (Alongside Peach and Daisy, of course...)
