Thank you for sharing. It’s important for all of us to understand the history of the sea otter; especially the horrific parts. It’s terrific to know there are others like you who care enough to do the hard parts so all of us can enjoy and get to know these incredible and cute animals! Thank you!

@@KPassionate it provides access for deaf/hard-of-hearing people from predominantly English-speaking countries/cultures too. KZbin got rid of Community Captions in September 2020, which would have allowed users to caption for you. But please keep it up if you can, my mom and me are both HH and have been consuming online otter content since the pandemic started.

Like many of hundreds of people Joey got my through last year watching him and helped my anxiety watching him grow everyday. Always loved otters but never knew how much sea otters were so amazing and have educated myself and learnt so much from these beautiful mammals. Joey brought us together last year when there was so much doom, Thank you KP for all the updates and videos, love your channel.

Thanks KP. The part about the greed of humans is hard to hear but also necessary because we never seem to learn. Thanks to all the agencies who rescue and recuperate these otters. Joey and the other seven of his ‘family’ are wonderful and they help us remember how important it is to love each other and all animals. Thanks again KP and Doubleagent xx

I look forward every Deeper Dive video from you. Although my favorites are about the Sea Otters (especially appearances by Joey, Tazlina, Quatse, Katmai, Kunik, Mak, Hardy and Rialto), I enjoy all the other marine mammal videos and have learned a lot. Thanks for your hard work and please keep making more videos.

I clicked 10 times the like button, should be 84K instead of 84 because the content is so good, I learnt so much!! Funny fact, I discovered sea otters with that emoticon on my iphone!! and became intensely in love. I even call my gf, baby otter now (= Loutron in french) :D. My dream would be to see one sea otter, apparently in europe there is only one couple in UK. I have to go to the US/Canada, it is planned. Thanks a lot KP for the videos, you have the best otter videos for sure! Of course it is impossible not to love all other marine mammals too :D

KP, I think it is safe to say that Joey has started a new Information Revolution about conservation and protection of our beautiful planet and you and your fellow “caretakers” are to be commended for everything that you do. You let our baby Joey yell at you, Katmai to raid your pockets even though there is nothing in them for her and Tazlina to steal every toy and blanket from every other otter (I don’t think you could stop her though 😊🐾). You all are shining examples of what humankind should be. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Were sea otters some of the first protected species in the US and Canada?
@doubleagentxv1203 жыл бұрын
I believe so! The Fur Seal Treaty of 1911 was the first international treaty to address wildlife preservation and it protected all fur-bearing marine mammals like seals, sea otters, and sea lions. The US didn't introduce an endangered species act until 1967.

There's more and more evidence showing that humans have inhabited these continents since before the Bering Strait would have existed, by thousands of years.

🤔 Pretty sure a dog just loved a fish a little too much, and this what we got. Same way we got platypuses. Duck plus...beaver. Thats how biology works, and no one can tell me otherwise. Slam two animals together, you get a new animal. Same as people.
