This video was made before societies was released, and I don't have the game because I have heard particularly bad things about the game. I've heard that the expansion pack makes the game much better, so I might consider getting it.

I remember playing Sim City 2000 as a little kid. I kept getting frustrated, because I couldn't figure out why I didn't have any population after building tons of police stations and other non-zoned buildings.

I remember playing the first simcity on my dads old chunky computer. Today with SimCity 4 and SimCity 3 for the iPod/iPhone, it seems so different. thanks for making this! 5/5 + fav

the first one i ever played was simcity 2000 and i used to always kill people off by alien attacks and tornados ... the music on the game was seriously my childhood- I wish I still had it.

I'm still able to play Sim City 4 on my Mac but I wish I could go back and taste 3000 again. It has a distinct charm to it very similar to The Sims 1.

Sim City 2000 and SC4 are by far the best Sim City games and each were king of city simulation in their era. I still play SC4 today waiting for SC5 to come out!

lol in Sim City 1, a black square monster. lol in sim city 2000 how a fire could destroy a whole building and roads in less than 5 seconds and a big part of a city in 20 seconds. Must be fire from hell. I cant say much for sim city 3000 and sim city 4 is, was and will always be the best!

SimCity was released to the public in 1989, The Sims was released in 2000.
