Something that I love is that the carboard box is part of a taunt in Team Fortress 2. The best part: It can actually work on other players. The effectiveness of it varies depending on how observant they are and their knowledge of the game's maps.

Kojima and the box (assuming it was Kojima who made it) reminds me very much of Hidetaka Miyazaki and the Pot Noble from Sekiro. (The Pot Noble was the only character design Miyazaki did for Sekiro). When Snake talks about treating the box with love and an irresistible urge to get inside, it's just hilarious, much like the Pot Noble who lives in a pot and is obsessed with carp. I don't know anything about Japanese humor so maybe it's not even a thing but as an outsider this feels very much like this weird humor that could only come from Japan. I love it.
