For those that are confused about ChuChus first appearing in MM. Gels, Zols, Bits, Bots, and Buzz Blobs are separate enemies that appeared in older games that are confused with ChuChus due to being so similar in design and sometimes gameplay. Some games like Phantom Hourglass even have Gels, Zols and ChuChus in the same game. Twilight Princess is a little different as they are the just called Chus but they’re the same as ChuChus.

I love the 'consistency' of ennemies in Zelda games. They also know how to renew said ennemies and give them an identity corresponding to the game they're in. It's also really satisfying to see who they bring back and how in every game.

I believe the Buzz Blob/Cukeman from Link’s Awakening still would fit as stylistically it resembles Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass chus. They seem to be a prototype.

Minish Cap/Wind Waker etc. had the best ChuChu designs tbh. They were also more challenging to fight than the others as they actually hid in the ground a lot - can be annoying if there is a bunch of them doing that in a small area. Would love to see this mechanic make a return in breath of the wild as they seem pretty basic in that game.

basic? they can literally transform into any element based on their region and killing them also makes them explode into their element which can be either useful or deadly. try getting ambushed by multiple electric ones or ice ones and youll see the chain reaction.

i like how in the minish cap, they make such a simple mob into an actual boss without changing it at all, link was just wayyyy too small to defeat it normally so that the normal chuchu was an actual threat lol

@@mictony999 Hmm true, but shoot them once with a bow and BOOM. ALL of them are dead. They definitely explored elements a lot in Botw, it would be even better to see the elements combined with minish cap / wind weaker chuchus as I think the only element they had was electric (and this strange stone one which couldn't die unless you first turned it to stone and then smashed it with a hammer in ww). Just imagine chuchus everywhere where some would hide in the ground while others jumped to get close enough to you. Just a simple mechanic with them in the ground makes them so much more deadly.

@@antlol8870 haha ikr! thats why i loved minish cap so more and was sad to see it cut in botw. would be so fun to be a small minish sized warrior in the wild. Maybe in botw 2... I mean, Koroks are cool and all but we can always take a break and explore the Minish for a bit.

From all of these Chuchu designs, I like the one from the 'Toon Link series' of Zelda games (AKA The Wind Waker, The Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks) the best since they're super cute 🥰 (even if looks can be deceiving in this case), especially if they're compared to those super ugly ones in Majora's Mask!

Why didn't you include the Chu Chu's from Zelda II: The Adventures of Link, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons? I'm sure your 3 minute video would have been much longer.

@@Triaglo They are Chu Chus because that's exactly what the manual says. As a matter of fact chu Chus first appeared in Zelda II. I own the physical cartridges of these games and their manuals.
