The Expanse is an American science fiction television series developed by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby for the Syfy network, and is based on the series of novels of the same name by James S. A. Corey. The series is set in a future where humanity has colonized the Solar System. It follows a disparate band of protagonists-United Nations Security Council member Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo), police detective Josephus Miller (Thomas Jane), ship's officer James Holden (Steven Strait) and his crew-as they unwittingly unravel and place themselves at the center of a conspiracy that threatens the system's fragile state of cold war, while dealing with existential crises brought forth by newly discovered alien technology.
The Expanse has received a positive critical response, with particular praise for its visuals, character development and political narrative. It received a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation and three Saturn Award nominations for Best Science Fiction Television Series. Syfy cancelled the series after three seasons. Amazon later acquired the series, producing three more seasons, with the sixth and final season premiering on December 10, 2021.

My favourite version of the Rocinante is the final iteration, the addition of the advanced ceramic armour made the Roci a true fighting ship that could take on the Belters. And the addition of landing legs, gave it the ability to land on planets, and at that point she became more than “legitimate salvage”

Although having fuel tanks in hard-scif setting would make a lot of sense (and radiators) visually, even if you have handwavian hardware like 'The Expanse' has with the Epstein Drive.

Love the original Tachi MCRN colours- but my favourite iteration is the final one- she needs her legs. Meanwhile, me and my crew will legit salvage a Morrigan Class and pimp her up with legs and a rail gun or two

When it's well stocked with missiles and bullet/shells belts thingies That was a worry I always had But ultimately, any configuration it was cool, deadly for its size, and because it housed and protected my favorite people 😃

Loved the show, watched it twice from beginning to end. I've since then been making my way through the books, mainly because I wanted to see what happened with the zombie kid at the end of season 6. I'm just getting near to the end of Book 8 now and have enjoyed every minute of reading them. It's pretty cool how they incorporated the story from the 'Strange Dogs' novella into season 6, so you get a little hint at some of the things to come in the later books (like Laconia, Duarte, The Tempest and the orbital platforms) even though we never got an actual season 7, 8 or 9.

Personally, my favourite roci look is the S4 minus the landing legs

I have to chose a paint job i think i would go for the original MCRN livery... the later black-silver-red close second.. however i am quite a far of the Roci with the railgun and the landing gear so it leans more towards the later. The only thing i missed was seeing more Corvette class frigates in the show as we only see 1 more (the Karakhum...and in a suspicious grey paintjob as well).. dont know if it was a choice to avoid confision but there should be quite a lot more of Corvette class arround in Martian fleet shots
