If you dont know what happened: The twin towers which were both flown into planes by terrorists on September 11 2001. These terrorists were from a group called Al-Queda (the base). The first flight was Flight 11, Which crashed into the North Tower at 8:46 AM. It was hijacked and flown by Mohamed Atta. The second plane Flight 175 was hijacked by Abdulaziz al-Omari and crashed into the South Tower at 9:03 AM. Those were the Twins towers down. Then the 3rd plane was hijacked and hit the Pentagon (The US Department of Defense.) And the 4th flight was hijacked very late to where the passengers knew what was going on with the twin towers and hijacks. The 4th plane was headed to Washington D.C. to strike the white house/ the capitol building. Since the passengers knew what was going on, when the plane got hijacked the passengers fought back with the hijackers but couldn’t take control of the plane. the hijackers crashed into the middle of a field in Pennsylvania…

No, the passengers on United 93 probably would have been able to land the plane (its not that hard, especially when you get instructions over radio). When the passengers stormed the cockpit, the terrorists put the plane in an uncontrollable dive, sending the plane into the ground to ensure everyone on board would die. Those brave people who stood up against the terrorists gave their lives, but probably saved hundreds that day. RIP.

Fun fact: my dad was on the street that the towers were on the night before (9/11) the attacks and saw the twins towers for one last time in person and also had a friend who worked in one of the towers but was stuck in traffic and was going to end up being late to his work and then of course after he saw the first plane hit he turned right around but it’s so odd to think that it may be the last time you see something or someone (R.I.P to the victims of 9/11)

People on the streets of NY and working in nearby buildings didn't expect that The Towers will collapse. After the second tower was hit, people started to panic. That man about whom you mentioned made a good decision that horrible morning for all the NewYorkers and as we know today for all of us on the Earth. Freedom of travelling was shortened, more control of passengers, all military missions and battles, invasions on the countries supporting "bad guys".
