Fun Fact: Yoshi's Story (not shown in this video) was the first time Kazumi Totaka voiced Yoshi, as well as the first time he had gotten a proper voice besides that one Super Mario World sound effect. He still does his voice to this day.

What was interesting is that New Super Mario Bros. Wii and New Super Mario Bros./Luigi U brought back the classic Yoshi sound effects instead of using said character's current voice clips. Those classic Yoshi sounds that were brought back in the New Super Mario Bros. series were later carried over to Super Mario Maker for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

So as far as I can see it, there are basically just three different sets of Yoshi sounds: One for the era before year 2000, then one for all the games afterwards, and a new voice that was made for Mario Odyssey and might be the new standard for the future.
