In his book *'Pete Burns, Freak Unique'* , Pete says he got the inspiration for this song from the chorus of a Luther Vandross song called 'I Wanted Your Love' - which you can totally hear the similarities when you listen to that song

Yes that's true. He told that also in interview. He was listening that song and starting to sing " You spin me rooound, like a record round" on that melody. And later he expanded lyrics.

37:09 I'm pretty sure it happened on October *9th,* not the 10th. I found the original video containing this clip, and the date in the video states that it happened on the *9th.*
