Idk if it's just cus they're sprites, so they don't really have many unique features, but FF6 had exactly that problem for me. I remember Terra obviously and locke, and there was some ninja dude. Those saying the original is better are blinded by nostalgia, probably scared straight by the passing of time too 😂 this rearrangement by Hamauzu is incredibly well thought out contextually, and his use of chord extensions and dissonance is always extremely emotive and eargasmic. I just like the instrumentation of the original ff7. The tubular sounding midi sound track still sounds soo good. Even when it was brand new it had a sort of nostalgic sound to it that is hard to replicate

I just realized because of this thumbnail that Yuffie was censored in Rebirth. She wears a belt now and buttons her shorts together. Nothing else was changed as far as I can tell on her character.

Je trouve au contraire que la version du remake met le thème de Yuffie encore plus en valeur (l'instrumentalisation est beaucoup plus riche pour correspondre au reste du jeu), le tempo plus rapide pour la partie combat colle parfaitement au perso... ;) Après peut-être qu'une nouvelle version du thème sera déclinée dans la suite du remake quand elle rencontrera l'équipe de Cloud.

why am I not surprised the new one can't even follow the music score when they've changed the entire story? It shouldn't bother me as much as it does but it so freaking well does. They get the pitch wrong, the tempo wrong, even the rhythm is off. It's like the people doing the musical score, they've got the cliffnotes version or have listened to the music once and said they know it. and I know that Uematsu is on the billing for it but if he signed off on this he's lost his ever loving 60 year old mind because this is crap. The damn orchestral collection is better than this and that takes liberties with the tone of certain parts.
