Yesh, forget just the visual aspect of it. Pressure and stagger sounds are so satisfying when everything connects. This is just a small part of why I will never sympathize with remake hate. This is a love letter to a game we all loved dearly but was restricted to the tech of its time. Everything for the most part looks and feels beautiful, along with a revitalized story so it doesn't feel like it's the exact same thing. SPOILER WARNING FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T BEATEN THE GAME Even Aerith's death still fucked with me heavily. The way Cloud's fractured mind couldn't straighten out what really happened had me feeling the exact same, like wait didn't we just save her?? And the coolest little detail I missed on my first play that my friend pointed out to me? The start of the Jenova fight where everyone enters the fight full of rage, limit gauges filled...but Cloud is lost and dazed, limit gauge empty. Fucking wow man.

I can't think of a single other change in the story that was for the better. The worst change? How they handled Sephiroth. He was someone you were supposed to be afraid of in FF7, and you didn't even see him until after the midgar section. They used him very rarely to keep that sense of threat. In Remake? You BEAT him in Midgar! And that's after you see a bunch of pointless scenes with him with crappy dialogue. There's no "Oh crap it's sephiroth" it's "ugh sephiroth again, ok random stalker just say your badly written lines and go away no one cares." I can imagine new players being like "I wonder who the villain of this whole trilogy is going to be" only for them to find out it's this annoying idiot that they've already beaten TWICE. What the hell is wrong with the writers.

It just hit me that Aerith can keep someone permanently topped off on Limit Break. You'll still need to use two Limit Ascensions on the person you want to actually execute the Level 3 Limit Break on the other character, but.... Use Lvl3 Limit accessory on her. Use Limit Siphon on whoever else to top off . Use Lvl 3 Limit Break. Other characters now have full LB. Use one. Limit Siphon the other. Repeat. Like, yes, you need ATB, but....this seems like a very busted combo. Even using multiple level 2 LBs continuously like that is sure to stagger. Or you could literally just keep throwing Magic Mogboxes with very little cooldown.

My only tweak I would make for Rebirth Limit Breaks would be for time to freeze as the animations play out. In hard mode as soon as a limit breaks trigger, I’m automatically moving onto a different character to make the most out of my time window. It feels such a shame because I’d love to watch them play out every time, and if time froze, I wouldn’t feel like I’m missing out on charging other ATB’s.

seem to be from what i've seen of it, like it is in he OG (and compared to in this vid) the one you don't want to get in the original is the one where it wipes your entire party instantly and forces a game over, haven't seen that one yet in rebirth

Level three is in the skill tree, but you can level up your limit by doing synergy attacks with your team. Certain synergy attacks will give it, you have to look at the description.

You have to use The Synergy Ability that has the perk Limit Level Increase. Or have an accessory that increases Limit Levels.
