Fr. Ripperger mentions briefly that Darwin wrote "if they find something (not defined) my theory will collapse"; that something was "evidence that certain body parts cannot be the result of continuous slight modifications", that means if we could find something that need several parts at the same time to work, then it would be way too unlikely to have risen through random mutations. And yes, it has been found in the cells; this is known as "irreductible complexity".

I’m not a medical doctor nor a scientist and I don’t believe that you and I could evolve from monkeys to humans. However, I am a Roman Catholic who believes in the God of the Holy Bible. The God of the Bible is the same God Who created all living things and non-livings. I believe you and I didn’t evolve from monkeys, but the God of the Bible created us (Genesis 1:1-31). This may sound cliche to you because of your scientific knowledge and understanding as a “medical doctor with 40+ years of acute practise”that need scientific evidence. Fine, the book of Genesis in the Bible has mentioned nephillim or sons of God (Genesis 6:1-4) or you can check it out in this link below knowingscripture.com/articles/who-were-the-sons-of-god-and-the-nephilim-genesis-6-1-4. I believe archaeologists may have a better understanding of the scientific evidence of the nephillim existence. Brian Ryan ... Wasn't the cell basically an unsophisticated blob of jello in Darwin's time? Now we can see how amazingly complex our cells are. Look at the construction process of the Flagellar motor that requires 30 different interacting parts to be assembled ever so correctly... each piece placed at the proper location at the proper time. The construction process also requires instructions, translations, and feedback within the cell at both the beginning and end of the process. If these didn't happen, these amazingly tiny machines and their various individual parts would not be assembled correctly. How would all of these microscopic machines or parts know where to go to build things correctly in an evolutionary system?

In 1975 I was 8 years old , my teacher started teaching the class Darwin's theory (I had never heard of him before that day), I argued with her for over an hour on how ridiculous evolution was, she got so angry with me she put me out into the corridor outside our class room as punishment. The head mistress saw me and asked what had happened, I told her and asked her why I was being punished? She then called my teacher outside to find out why, my teacher said that I had failed to listen and so did not understand! I replied , "for something to evolve then the original thing has to cease to exist, so if we humans came from monkey's then there's a lot of backward monkey's, so Darwin and his theory are equally stupid. Since God created both humans and monkey's, and since humans are created in the image of God , then evolution is impossible and Darwin takes God out of the equation, which makes his theory evil, what did I misunderstand?" The Head Mistress laughed and said to my teacher , she understands perfectly and why are you teaching Darwin to 8 year olds , it's not on the curriculum. I was sent back to class, my teacher returned 10 minutes later , discarded Darwin and told us to open our catechisms. When I got home, I told my Mother, she was shocked that this subject was even brought up at our age. My Mother was our main teacher of the faith as our Dad worked from 7.30am to 5pm, I hugged her so hard that day and thanked her for teaching me my faith. The following morning my Mother and several other parents arrived to complain to my teacher for even thinking of bringing up such a subject to their young daughters. Brainwashing was even going on then, sadly it's worse today.

Thank you for this Atheistic Philosophies in a nutshell. Entropy in this universe is enough to disprove the whole "given enough time, so and so result will happen". That only pertains to random decay, not something structured. "Given enough time, a group of monkeys will write the Bible." Really Atheists? And how much food, type writers, and food would that need? Even if you don't actively help the monkeys write the Bible, you'd have to at least set up the environment, ie a structure and upkeep it for the monkey bible to even have the possibility of occurring. I used to think it was possible for the Bible and evolution to both be true. I thought that the story of how we began may not have been exactly true the way it was written...that a day could have been 1M years ... or more. Then it hit me ... Why would God start the Bible with a lie? How could the rest of the Bible be true if the first part wasn’t? How could Mary be the new Eve who gives God her yes if there was no real Eve who said no? Is the creation story any more incredible than other miraculous Bible stories? Did I believe that the creation story as presented in Genesis was too hard for God? I realized then how much I had fallen for Satan’s lie. The Book of Genesis is critical to the rest of the Bible. Believing the Bible begins with a lie opens the door to doubt related to the rest. Even though physicists now say that at some point everything came from nothing, making scientific sense of Genesis isn’t important. Does it matter if Genesis seems to break certain laws of science? As the Creator of all (and inventor of all sciences), God isn’t bound by the laws of any science. He can do things we can’t always make sense of. Somehow it all works out. One realization leads to many others. Would God allow Jesus’ message to be fractured into a million pieces with only a small piece of the truth in each faith (and the rest a lie)? Doesn’t it make more sense that one church would be selected to guard and promote the entire truth? All this and more fits together perfectly. I hadn’t seen it, but it’s so obvious that I had to be blind to miss it. Thank God for opening my eyes now. Fr. Ripperger is exactly right, and he explains it far better than I and with far more depth. Thanks for a great video.

This is the simple argument I make to militant evolutionists... 1) Evolution either happened gradually (Darwinism) or in great leaps (macroevolution - Gould). 2) The fossil record contradicts gradual evolution. Genesis is not the story of how life on earth started but it is the story of the bloodline of Jesus Christ and can be followed from the first chapter of Matthew. He says so many things that are false. If so many top level biological scientists are against evolution why not mention them by name and quote them? As someone who studied biology he is completely wrong. He also says that if evolution is true then God didn't create the soul. Pope Benedict the XVI actually argues against this position and says that if evolution is true, the soul was still created by God. Clearly this priest has not done his homework.

Problem is that given the age of the universe, the genetic events required would be astronomically so low too occur as they are on the far out end of the Weibull distribution. Statistically, speaking, macroevolution is not possible.

The most disappointment for all the soul denying men would be when they come across (after their death) how wrong were their thought about the earth and its creatures despite having ample proof that through our souls God let us perceive what we see around. In my opinion, God let one or another kind of these devilish means at all times to mislead ‘non chosen’ men so that He can easily demarcate grains from chaffs. After all, chosen men knew at all the times that there is only one unified theory of everything, which is nothing but God incarnated as Jesus Christ, the truth.

Hi, Computational Scientist here! Darwin's evolution in my field is called a weak optimizer, and in most cases it is an effective way to understand what drives a problem. On the human side of things though, may I refer you to the work of Konrad Lorentz, e.g. Civilized Man's Eight Deadly Sins, and what it suggests about the power of political systems like Communism to domesticate the human species through artificial evolution.

I came across that comment after I responded to this one; but had I come across that one first, I would have ignored this one, having recognized your prickles as irrelevant. Yes, I think there is a great deal you don't understand, starting with the lack of a connection between your field of training and other fields of science. Just because you're a medical doctor it doesn't make you an evolutionary biologist. You have opinions, and yours aren't superior by virtue of your particular degree. If you have an argument, present it. You haven't done that. What you *have* done is reinforce the old saw I heard often while growing up, as the nurses in my family rolled their eyes and said, "The difference between God and Doctor So-&-So is that God doesn't think He's Doctor So-&-So." I don't mean that as an ad hominem attack, but as a means of pointing out your lack of contribution to this discussion. All your comments are aimed to ridicule others - just like the doctors that my nurse relations didn't take seriously.

I’m way late to the party here, but our homeschool science textbooks were written from a creationist viewpoint. They were by Dr. J L Wile and were very good! They had all of your main sciences from General science to Chemistry to Biology to Physics. We started using them when I was in high school, so I’m not sure if they have editions for younger kids.
