The Forbidden Memories version is easily the most frantic feeling of the bunch. With that constant, fast paced drum playing, I really get the sense from this theme that Darknite is a very dangerous threat that needs to be taken down as quickly as possible, and that we don't have much time to do it. For all of its many issues, one thing that's a slam dunk on Forbidden Memories' part is its music, and this is no exception. While the Duelist of the Roses version doesn't quite catch that same frantic feeling, the more orchestral composition, as well as the one softer, calmer part, really sells the sheer power and, in a way, regality of Manawydan fab Llyr. To me, it feels much less like you're in a race against time against a very powerful threat, and more like you're in a hopeless struggle against a godly being. Definitely my favorite of the four themes here. (While it's not in this video, I feel I should at least mention the second Manawydan Fab Llyr theme in Duelist of the Roses, which is a variation of the High Mage theme in Forbidden Memories. If that were included here as well, it would have been my favorite. Duelist of the Roses' music is just so freaking good.) Not much of a surprise that Dark Duel Stories version doesn't quite hold a candle to Forbidden Memories or Duelist of the Roses' for me. Though, given the hardware limitations of the GBC compared to the PS1 and PS2, it's a little unfair to compare them. It's still a good theme for what it is. The Falsebound Kingdom version just makes me sad. It doesn't sound bad or anything, as it's basically just the Duelist of the Roses version with some more stuff added to it, but that's precisely the issue. When comparing Duelist of the Roses to Forbidden Memories, you could tell they went through the effort of completely remaking the theme. Falsebound Kingdom, it's literally just the Duelist of the Roses version with a couple of things added here and there. Just comes off as lazy to me.

Sadly, Darknite was a game only character that never appeared in the anime. I would have really liked if he was in the anime like an hidden ultimate villain.

In Vrains, I had the idea of him as Nitemare duelling Yusaku and using cards that let him summon the Egyptian Gods as normal monsters very fast in order to summon Horakhty and increasing his life points to infinite and Yusaku winning the duel EVEN with all those things

Zorc Necrophades was quite disappointing as a villain, DarkNite would be a way better final villain of the series

@@rickfilmsproducciones498 Heishin Was indeed Kickass in Forbidden Memories. In Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains, he certainly would've won many duels and likely proven better than many of his high mages in this game combined.

Agree on the OG being the best, but i'd easily go out of my way to say that the others aren't that bad too, i don't think they're dull at all as a matter of fact (Except perhaps Falsebound Kingdom, but in its defense it does have some neat new hits added in from the original). Each and everyone of them is great in their own way.

@@tomatogenesis Well they ought to make a Yu-Gi-Oh! game with Heishin, Nitemare, those Marshal guys in purple and Darknite etc for the 1st time in near decades. Those villains were the best in Yu-Gi-Oh!.
