2008-2011 best times of old Metin2, good memories. But since 2011-2012 it lost its charm, a lot of casual people quit the game, majority of players who stayed were mostly egoistic toxic tryharders. It was never the same experience and sadly it will never be again, which was shown by private servers which tried to imitate these 2008-2011 metin2 in recent years. MMORPG died, trends have changed.

@@nickzx1082 because on metin2 release he used fotage from modern metin2. lvlv 90/120 armor and weapons, level indicator, special mount horses etc. It should have been lvl 1-75 gear, with 3 type fo hrose (no store mount with no level or horse mounting ability) , pets, dragon stone etc

oh god the music. It hit right onto the nostalgia. i am almost dying ... i miss metin2 the gameplay was unique There is no "easy/relaxed" Beat them all/Musou MMO out there except for Metin2. (BDO is too technical and more about small pack => next small pack) in metin2 you can (and it still fun) pull the entire map (demon tower, spider cave etc) But saldy for me the game died when they implemented update without testing. Allowing lvl 30-42 twink to curbstomp up to lvl 80/90. Too many "you better keep playing" strong mechanics (timed pets) tied to RNG. and so many enw things eddit: sadly your video fail in the very thing you aimed to do: show change. the progressive change from release up to 2015. added dragon stone, scarfs, pets, lvl 80-90 zone, with ease of access to item lvl 75. then lvl 100 , then 110 content etc, you simply used a 2015 state with lvl 105 character. a shame really, it could have a been a great video

I'm 15 years old I started playing this game in 2020 And I liked it I played lots of MMO's but Metin2 had something unique(not the real money shop) It has a pretty decent community(yeah I met scammers but not too often)the people playing Metin2 these days are not toxic( 90% of the time) unlike other games I played *cough* fortnite *cough* Metin2 has also an interesting story The gameplay it's basic but satisfying when you catch the drill The progression system is a bit slow but for me it's perfect cause it teached me how to be more patient The Blacksmith is the only thing I hate about the game but it makes the game more challenging and adds to the replay value(even tho it's kinda frustrating) The game is hated because it's pay2win( I haven't spent one penny in this game and I still had fun) it has ps2 graphics( notice that this game came out in 2004 right? And if they remaster this game it will be completely broken cause it's hard to port an old game to a newer engine) So yeah that's my opinion on Metin2 I give it a 7/10

the thing with metin2 is that it is simple and straight forward, you dont have shitload maps, shitload skills, stats and not even able to know where to start from, you level up, gear up, level up skills and proced to next map, easy. the hard thing was indeed the management in how to grow up. blade ninja is one of the hardest classes to grow but late game is probably the best one in most contents.

I love how most people just like this game nowadays purely because of the nostalgia factor but I never see someone explaining why they liked this game based on mechanics or gameplay because there is none. And pls don't tell me because "of the community" or "because muh friends and I..." because doing anything with friends is fun for the sole reason that you and your homies are doing something together rather just because of the game.

its because the game was awesome during his primetime, it was 2000 years and the technology isnt what we are used to nowdays, it was totally fine to have like 2/3 seconds lag even during pvps and no one would really complain about it, because it was already a new thing to be in the same map together with other hundreds of players flexing their gear. The game was also really simple, easy to get in and start to grind and have fun, you pick a character, you spend stat points on 4 statistics (2 of them are obiovsly better for each class w/o even looking at a guide) and at the time you only had about 5 to 6 skills on each class (now you have 1 extra but doesnt even really matter) and you could learn to play your char in a matter of few days. it was TOTALLY free, to get in and play atleast the first 20/30/40ish level without being too much bothered by the item shop needing, while WOW which was and probably still is better, had the monthly fee many didn't want/couldn't afford to pay for. That being said, the game is ultra batshit compared to a modern concept, pvp wont make really much sense A because of lag B because it literally relies on either wearing better or correct against the opponent you re challenging, so it tipically ends up in the richer to win, the only thing who can actually survive is the PvE and the trade between players, and Gameforge kinda know how to make money on this with item shop. most of the time aesthetic stuff give important bonus, the game is defntly pay 2 win.

Mechanics: Tab targeting, action combat (the rarest mechanic in a 2004 game), trading system, shop system(special for the higher zones where ppl Didn't want to lose their entries and stayed in place) depozit system, changing the +7 +8 +9 gear effect (2004), horse fight rare thing also, skill enchantment, guild wars systems, outlaw system, 3 faction system without a special item You cannot interact with the others two, interconnected maps, dungeons, marriage system, horse upgrading system, auto combat (basic attacks for bosses and metins), mining fishing systems, fluid game play, world bosses (desert, sohan, Red forest), guild plot system, corresponding spaces for item (1 space for a knife, 2 sword etc) and that's only for 2004-2008 era
