Imagine if there was a feature where the marine reptiles would hit the lagoon walls if they were stressed (just like the feature we have now), but if it was a large marine reptile who have hit the walls, like mosasaurus or tylosaurus, a crack would open in the lagoon walls, and if you don’t fix it, slowly the lagoon water would seep through the crack and the lagoon would dry up. I know this idea may sound cruel, but it would be a very interesting way to force us park managers to attend the marine creatures needs, and dedicate ourselves more to the lagoon and the animals that inhabit it. The Shonisaurus is incredible... it really felt like they skimped out on a big part of marine history without a giant Ichthyosaur. The grey, bluish grey and black skins that were shown in succession are my favorites. They call to mind modern species and something about that just makes the animal feel so much more like we're looking at it through an aquarium or documentary.

Don't forget that Shonisaurus was not a suction feeder, but an active predator with teeth! Really wish Frontier gave it teeth.

In my opinion, the other more accurate marine creatures are Kronosaurus, Attenborosaurus, Ichthyosaurus, Styxosaurus (if you ignore the fin neck), and Tylosaurus (if you ignore the mouth).

Sucks that they gave shonisaurys the hadrosaurs treatment, only is it unable to attack anything but also heavily undersized, in real life they could rival the blue whale in size for damn sake

@@dom9300 And JW Mosasaurus also outsizes a blue whale as well. It also depends on what species they used, popularis or Shastasaurus sikannensis (which has been debated if sikannensis is Shonisaurus or Shastasaurus), popularis is smaller than sikannensis.

Dunkleosteus size is outdated. According to a 2023 study, he was about 3.41 meters (11,4 ft) long but this is Jurassic world, so yeah, accuracy is not important in this series.

Actually, Dimetrodon and Lystrosaurus are the first non-reptilian species in the game, since Dimetrodon is a synapsid and Lystrosaurus is a therapsid.

This pack is definitely great to cool off in JWE2. Out of all of the creatures in this pack, I like the Archelon here. It's really cool to see this giant extinct turtle in the game.

Definitely gives me more reason to use lagoons. I tend to avoid them because I feel like they don’t have enough variety. With the new species and viewing dome it gives them more use. Of course we also have the decorations as well as special islands for animals I feel like I can use them in more unique ways now.

I just thought of something cool you could try out when the pack releases! See if you can use the glitch that people use to get dinosaurs into aviaries with lagoon creatures to get nothosaurus or archelon to walk in regular exhibits! (I know this works functionally but the only issue it might have is they may spawn under the floor)

I like how the dunkleosteus design is based on both the outdated versions with its body, looking like a shark while his head looks like it’s outdated counterpart were the armor plates were thought to be outside until the shark version came out where the armor was covered by skin

When the nothosaurus gets upset the animation where it tries to slam into the wall should be it trying to get out of the lagoon by swimming down and trying to lunge or throw itself over the wall and they should be able to escape sometimes I think that would be cool

They should 100% add underwater foliage brushes and individual placeable’s like Kelp forests and coral reefs. Placeable glaciers and ice platforms as an alternative to the rock platforms would be amazing too and putting decorations and foliage on the platforms :)

Ah so the rock is supported by a metal pole. was hoping it'd be a rock pillar. but hey-ho this means there's a vertical object in the lagoon the animals can swim around, hopefully meaning that the ai can contend with vertical meshes meaning that if they wanted to, perhaps we could get some more vertical decorations. hoping for kelp forests and stone spires to help break up the blue void.

This whole DLC just convinced me to get back into the game and build a whole marine park... starting with a row of hotels overlooking a huge lagoon with Archelon and Elasmosaurus, and with the underwater viewing domes. Now if there's one thing truly missing it's the ability to eat off dead animals in the lagoon.

Ok hear me out, this probably won’t happen but I couldn’t sleep last night and I have a theory. What if we get one more pack that’s Cenozoic. Then another pack in December with a story DLC. With also a 2 year birthday gift? My idea for the gift is the underwater tunnel it would be a similar set up to the zip line but is a tunnel. DLC pack 1: Cenozoic: Megalodon , Saber Tooth, Mammoth and a Terror bird like Dimatrima? Story DLC combo Pack for December. This I think would explain something like no kelp brush. I think the Story DLC could be a side story and secrets of Dr. Wu Part II. This would be how he creates the Indoraptor, similar to how the first game was about the Indominous. This could add an extra edition Gene to the Indo the ability to lock on to a target that a Ranger points out. To get there we could be in a Alpine map near the manor from Fallen Kingdom. Go through some different missions basically once again making Hybrids, this could bring in the spinoceratops along with some of the old favorites and new concepts, like a Arcodsarus Nodasaurus with maybe some flippers or the leather shell. Now I’m the show the Spinoceratops loved the Arctic boom which we could keep that sure, but it would be really limited on which maps we could use that species on. So the solution water since it’s part Spinosaurus it needs more water. This leads me to the DLC Amphibious Pack. This could give us some of the species of Crocodiles like the Sarc maybe a few others as well that are wanted in the game. Now this is where the story DLC and Pack can really work their magic together. In Jurassic World the lagoon is apart of a larger lagoon but is sectioned off where the enclosure is, beach front property for the guests and just open lagoon water that’s unused. So if we get the ability to raise the terrain in the lagoons themselves we should be able to in the normal water sources as well. This is very important because it leads to the ability for lagoon creatures to break out, there would be a water source for them to escape to. This would also give us a new attraction the boat ride in the story DLC, the boat ride would be a way for Dr. Wu’s “help” to observe his creations from a “safe” distance. This now would also give escapes lagoon creatures the ability to escape and attack guests on a boat ride. The Kelp brush could be used in and out of lagoons. Also another options for guest danger is they could make a “shark cage” dive attraction. So a stressed lagoon creature would attack the cage and eat the guest that way. That I think would be good to be added along side the Meg if it were to be added. The Tarbo could be added in the Dr. Wu story part 2 DLC as the Trodon had been in the first game, it could be apart of needing to observe it for another dinosaur or something. Microceratous could also be put in this DLC too. Watching Dominion and the age of Charlotte Lockwood while on Sorna she was about Mazie’s age. So Dr. Wu’s story could start at “let me start from the beginning.” With how old she was and the picture of her in front of the gates being much older, it’s a safe assumption to say the Micro is most likely one of the first dinosaurs created. That would end the year off on a super high note. After that I don’t think anymore story DLC’s would come out, but with no new film on the horizon I could see them supporting the game with free updates mostly fixes at that point and dinosaur packs. I think a Triassic, Late Jurassic, Cenozoic pack 2 and Marine pack 2 is plausible? I like the idea of the Asian Dinosaur pack a lot especially with the decorations, I’d say that most like could be done in its final year of support in which case I’d say those packs could be Asian Dinosaur pack, African Pack, European Pack and South American pack. Sorry for the long comment I just had this idea and had to get it out there!

When the trailer released, I thought it was teasing that we could build islands on the lagoon, and perhaps we could actually have dinos on the islands in the lagoon. That was way too unrealistic and hopeful, but the rock islands had some more potential imo. Amazing DLC pack and social animations, though, I love every creature we got (especially nothosaurus, easily my favorite).

Like it would be cool if we could change the depth of lakes so that we could have a deep lake with a population of nothosaurs, maybe a little island in the middle. I get it would be an issue with terrestrials Dino’s path finding but it was a huge miss opportunity in my opinion

I saw a clip people must have missed: a guy was startled while focusing on reflecting city-light horizon across a shipping-river, all he could do was scream and loose the angle; anyone would say was a white-Koi-carp, but I saw; eyes of a full-sized-whale, a pair of 1/2meter-catfish-feelers, on a tiny-dolphin-head, with a neck that just bent down like a running-fire-hose, all beluga-white. I'd believe a creature like that would be dark grey, but I know I'd never see it were it not an albino of its kind.
