Heel straps for the Urban Carver. You don't need to take the bindings off. The heel strap can be swiveled straight up and above the main foot strap, or removed completely. Then adjust the main foot strap loose enough so you can bail out if needed, but can still lean into the straps for sharper turning, or when the board tries to throw you off. You can also run a higher durometer shock block, as the straps let you crank those channel trucks side to side.

Great video, I'm considering buying one but as a first timer it's nice to get so much helpful info ☺️ How responsive are the accelerator and brakes? Guessing it's a case of you go faster the more the trigger is pulled and if you let go you'll just freewheel
@DrewElia8 ай бұрын
So yes the remote controls how fast you go by spinning the wheel forward and than pulling back using as the motors as breaks or can also free roll by letting go of the wheel on the remote.
@djmiserablecunt79328 ай бұрын
Great question. on the controller you can change acceleration, speed and brake in increments of about 7. So you can really choose how you want it. Which is 1 the the main reasons I am thinking about getting this
@djmiserablecunt79328 ай бұрын
Actually i think I am slightly mistaken. You can do this but I believe it's on the app not the remote. But I think on the remote there are 3 different modes to choose from regarding acceleration, speed and brake

Awesome video of the Renegade! Im shocked at how much carve u got from channel trucks. I've tried MBS matrix 2 and i find sharp turns the downside. Good for high speed stability tho... I wonder how stable these trucks are going top speed?
@ajplant969 ай бұрын
Know what bushings you had in and how tight they were for the matrix 2 trucks? They can get uber carvey even without bindings if they’re set up for it
@esk8Kyle9 ай бұрын
@@ajplant96 I got the yellow soft in the front and orange regular in the rear. I weight 150lbs so it's difficult to do sharp turns... I can try yellow soft in the rear but that could get sketchy for high speed.
@ajplant969 ай бұрын
@@esk8Kyle Yeah orange in the back at your weight would’ve been the issue, I only put harder duro bushings in the back when using bindings and can turn tighter than my dkp board though that has the hardest duro riptide kit installed these days so not like it turns as well as it used to anyway. Matrix II are honestly pretty sloppy since switching to MBS’ new trucks so I would only use them now for low or high speed setups vs something in between for my personal preference, they work great loose on my prototipo which has a short wheelbase making it an awesome carving board that has no issues with tight turns but speed-wise I wouldn’t take it over 45kph, whereas my mountainboard with the Matrix III trucks I have softest duro front and back but back in the outer position with bindings and that’s stable over 50 though I haven’t been really testing it for high speed, just keeping up at those speeds on group rides.

@DrewElia8 ай бұрын
there are a few companies out there that are specialized in mountain boards alone, trampa, apex, are a few that are the more popular ones. Acedeck just released the NYX Z3 mountain board that you can put bindings onto them. otherwise nothing else really is a " production " style its more in the realm of DIY builders. companies like Mboards though can build you out anything you want for your needs as well!

Isn’t it funny that all of these KZbin reviewers never mention the serious issues with these boards? Almost like they are incentivized to not criticize the board or the company behind it. These videos are well made but should not be taken as an unbiased review. Meepo v5 lineups motor sleeves falling off comes to mind. Never mentioned it even though the first video on the board on KZbin had it happen in the video. Crazy dangerous but it would hurt relations I’m guessing.
@DrewElia9 ай бұрын
First off thank you for the compliment on the being well made, that means a lot to me considering how much effort I put forward in each of my videos! Each KZbinr has their own experience with products, personally I’ve never had a wheel fall off while I was riding my meepo v5. If it did you can bet I would 💯 mention that as a problem, but I didn’t have issues with those products. Apply this thought to any other review situation, take car reviews for example. One Honda accord engine blew up from a car and truck magazine. But car and driver, car weekly, Honda lovers, ( fake car magazine names) Should we say that every Honda accord engine will blow up in every car review going forward based off of one car engine blowing up? No product is perfect, and trust me if I have a bad experience with one of my products I’ll mention it in the review. Just because one other review had an issue I should refer back to his video and say “hey I had a great experience with my product but let me refer back to this other guys review where he had a bad experience?” Does that make any sense? Thanks for the compliment on the well made part again I truly appreciate the feedback when it comes to the people watching the video. But you have to understand that just cause a few other people have had one off issues doesn’t mean that the whole is a problem. Every product ever made has “lemons” that’s why we have warranty’s for help with aftercare.
