Such a sweet package but for $1,400 thats the same price as the Acedeck X3 gear drive with 300wh more and a faster top speed. The Exways, Backfires, and Meepo’s around this price range offer much more features. If this board was $1,000 it would fly off the shelf. Nonetheless, amazing review and gorgeous first shot of the ocean and water!

I agree, as stated in the review, it's a big ask, you are exactly in the place of other boards for spec and features. thank you for the compliment my man greatly appreciate it!

If the battery was a 14S2P with a Gear Drive option, + the option for the Onrique Deck then it would be worth is in my book
@DrewEliaАй бұрын
14/2 is only a little more battery life honestly, it would get to 500wh so I don’t need that more weight, the Onirique deck and gear drive would be dope though, it’s light though and stupid powerful with the Efoc 2.0 in there and the motors. The price is higher I agree, but the more I ride it I just love the light weight form factor that it is if this was $1000 it would be priced competitive

I think of this one as the holiday companion board. It's not the daily driver or the high-school sweet heart, but rather a fling to be appreciated for what it is...the cherry on top. Another crisp video to leave a mark on the eskate tapestry you've got here

*Looks really good with the new deck and chrome trucks... if I liked the Evolve ESC/electronics I would defo consider buyin one* 🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽 Nice review, really wanted to see you shreddin this one! With some closer looks at the board too. 👌🏽 I feel like the kingpin is longer on the Diablo/SuperCarve 2.0 trucks, to accomodate more bushing choices, especially a standard barrel road side.
@DrewEliaАй бұрын
thanks for checking out the video bruh, much appreciated. its a lot to ask for considering the market, but it is what it is. the trucks are nice, and this wheels as well feel great on this style board.
@scienz0220Ай бұрын
@eBoard3R FWIW i have hard durometer bushings cranked really hard on the Diablo and the ride is still relatively loose. My bushings are bordering on bulgy and I might find a thicker and harder bushings if the ride becomes affected. I think the new trucks are generally great and give a little extra stability over the older blueprint
@eBoard3RАй бұрын
@scienz0220 Go harder bushings, best way to do it is graduated bushings. From front to back, 90a, 92a or 93a, 95a or 96a, 98a. Riptide barrels will give more stabilility than Evolve cone/barrel. Personally I use Venom bushings, most stable but for DKP requires you to sand down 2 bushings to make them shorter as Venom dont make short bushings.
@scienz0220Ай бұрын
@eBoard3R I'm using the evolve 98a and 95a hard set, with riptide pivot cups. What's the best upgrade from there ?

Ride feel is most important to me versus price but I'm so perplexed on what to get as my surf/carve board. Meepo Flow, Backfire Nalu, Tynee Stinger, or the Evolve Stoke X......hmmmmmm. Help anyone? 🤣
@DrewEliaАй бұрын
If you’re looking g strictly for a surf feel, the NALU is a literal surf trainer. Not the most range or power but is full in waah paah. The DKP set ups of the flow, stinger, are great but compared to the X feels a little heavier under the feet. The stinger is a beast of a board for range at 12/3 and with great power. The X is a torque monster, those motors and esc cause it to be almost TOO much power but it’s so fun and light weight and decent range. The flow is a good board but after riding the X the flow feels like it’s almost less waah paah due to the 105mm wheels and high risers. Honestly you’re not going to be upset with any of them, The stoke X is powerful light weight and has great carve ride feel The stinger has amazing range and power it’s heavy because of that though. The flow is snappy but feels almost limited now with the feeling of the stoke X now.
@jukenismochannelАй бұрын
There is something to be said about the evolve level of fit and finish, but at almost double the cost of some of the competitors, I don’t see this being a go-to option unless you’re an evolve fanboy. The meepo flow has very similar specs at nearly half the price, and even the Tynee stinger has much better specs and you can get it with GEAR DRIVE for $250 cheaper than this board. Cool, but expensive for what it is. I hope they quickly put this on a semi-permanent “sale” closer to the original asking price of the now heavily outdated stoke 2.
@DrewEliaАй бұрын
I have to agree with you on that, they have this level of fit and finish. it is expensive I will 100% agree with you on that, we shall see where the dust settles with price points you know!
@scienz0220Ай бұрын
Did you get much wheel bite on 97s or play around with different size wheels?
@DrewEliaАй бұрын
kept the 97 on the entire time, if you watch the end of the video, I slide on the wheels and that was the only time I think that I got wheel bite, I did tighten up the rear ever so slightly and it wasn't an issue at all after that, ill be putting other wheels on this like my Cags to test them out as well!
@MichaelWagner-z4k24 күн бұрын
How come on the website the dual duro wheels don’t come on it? I thought they did I’m thinking about getting a pair of super carve 2 trucks for my Tynee stinger since they are only 105 a pair(I have no idea how) my motors fit it looks like
@DrewElia24 күн бұрын
No, I say it in the review that they are optional.

@joshdimovski4483Ай бұрын
Do you happen to know what the biggest wheel size you can have ( 120mm) ?
@scienz0220Ай бұрын
From the product listing on the evolve website: "NOTE: Using wheels larger than 85mm may result in wheel bite when riding (wheel touches deck on tight turns)."
@DrewEliaАй бұрын
I wouldn't go above 105 but at that point you may need to add risers to the board which I dont like doing, this is lower to the ground and feels great in that sense. I experienced at the end of the video when I was trying to slide the board and got wheel bite I think, I tightened the rear trucks a little bit and haven't had an issue since! but the 97 mm is really a perfect size, and I wouldn't want to go any bigger, im going to slap on some cags and see how that handles as well.
@MichaelWagner-z4kАй бұрын
1400 is actually a tad less than I expected from evolve. Haha. Yeah to make those big motors fit they made them really low so the bashguards hit mega easy on the x. If they made an Onirique X ide consider buying it. IDE like more than 27mph though for that board. I think it’s misleading how they say it has a 200A esc but then it’s totally tuned down
@DrewEliaАй бұрын
Yes an Onirique X would be epic! You can gear it out to be more speed if you really wanted to I suppose but I’m pleased with this speed on this board for the most part.
@ajplant96Ай бұрын
Tbf the motors on the diablo let alone this can’t handle 200a anyway

Great board, but deal brakers: 1. too steep price, many other competitors give more for less money 2. The build quality gives more to be expected... If you take a look to the screw nuts on the deck, not done properly and sleek... seems this is a pre-production sample.. So it seems that they build board rushing for faster production..

My first board was the Tynee mini 3 pro. Love it and all, but the Evolve DKP trucks are SO MUCH better than the Tynee trucks on the mini 3 pro. If I buy a new board anytime soon, I’ll likely choose the stoke x over the mini 3 max.
