You’re speaking from a biased POV. The bias been that PEOPLE must WANT TO GET INTO BEING A TRY HARD at the game. Some people just want to relax after a 12 hour work day, get a hand full of kills, do quests and not have to become good at the game. No one is implying his not helpful. He is. You’re implying that every person playing the game must want to become sweaty or improve, and if you don’t then “well that’s on you” when some people literally don’t have interest in wanting to improve they just want a casual experience. And even if all 5 kills are bots, that’s okay, but when every game is filled with players who WANT TO SWEAT, and try hard, when you have zero interest in it, it’s just not fun. Again. Not everyone WANTS TO BE A SWEAT.

@@Trying_but-failing you are playing the wrong game mode. The whole point of battle Royale is improving each game until you get to a point that you can win and be proud of your win. I’m over 30, work full-time, play on console and have only been playing third person or first person shooter games for a couple years. You don’t need to be a sweat to win games you just need to learn how to use the tools that are given to you. There are endless options for movement and the typhoon blade is the most overpowered item in the game right now. You don’t have to have an ounce of aiming skills to win a game right now just learn how to use your movement and not be caught out in the open. It is a skill base matchmaking game, so there is no excuse for you to not win a game unless you have no interest in trying to play the game the right way. If you don’t want to play the game the right way or have no interest in proving then there are thousands of creative maps where you could mindlessly walk around and kill bots and still gain XP

I find that spam toggling crouching on and off while sprinting with the tempest blade lets you move pretty quick for much longer periods of time than repeating airdashes into rolls, while also using less charge. Its burst movement is probably less distance, but over a longer span it easily outpaces the other methods I've tried. I've never once ran out of katana charge since I started doing it, I always either lose a fight and die or come across a new one to replace the one I have.

100% distance. A lot of people aren't carrying shotguns at all. If I find myself in a situation where I would use a shotgun, I'd get wrecked by the blade. However the blade is not very good mobility imo. It's better than nothing, but you can't push the way you can with shockwaves and whatnot. I'll carry a pistol, an ar, sword, void, and heals. Close combat = melee combat. Spamming only works with the sword if they land the first hit on you, which should rarely be the case in such a long range season.

Night Rose medallion is great for car counter cause you can be chased and swap to shoot and never bother reloading and continue drive momentum and your gun reloads. That's where the medallion shines

​​​​​@@Rman1228 The trick with doing solo self drive-by shooting is to boost and get momentum while looking forward before switching seats, then switch and look wherever and shoot, then look back forward in the direction of your car movement before switching back to driving and accelerating again. When I first started doing it, I'd be coasting forward looking behind me shooting and then try to drive again while still looking behind and then the car would stop because it accelerates in the direction you're looking. But now I can drive and shoot and get kills or put serious damage on a car chasing me and go back to driving while never stopping and barely slowing down. Hopefully that makes sense.

Aim training 👌 I do a half hour almost every day. I suppose for some people it's not an option or not fun or whatever. 20 minutes on shotgun aim, 10 minutes beaming gliders. I haven't beaten my high scores in over a week, tho. Grinding single percentage increases at this point lol But it helps I promise.

I disagree the sword requires no skill just get close. My aim is avg not pro lvl and the sword makes it ez to get kills. Just make sure you have hp advantage before trading sword swings

Hey jake i love your tips videos please keep them coming multiple a week, I've switched back to fortnite because warzone is in a horrible state so im relearning again. I found my strat that works for me got 3 wins in a row tonight with 12+ kills. I land on train every game, get the mythic holo, try for forsight, get a sword and void mask then i carry health and shield because im not great about outplaying when being pushed so i have to control the fight with positioning and mid range with the mythic. Stay out of range of the sword then no other gun can outdamage the mythic holo. Oh and a car is CRITICAL. Also i put your code in my shop and got a new skin today.

nvm, i figured out the problem. idk what they did to performance this season but after testing every single time i do any action in a fight my frames for like a nanosecond dip below like 20-30, and that was throwing off my aim. turned on performance mode and won the first game on after that LOL.

@@LeapingRatthere’s only one train that I’m aware of. The first train stop after you drop is at Brutal Boxcars. Try landing there. The mythic Holo Twister drops for me every time. Also it will only drop the mythic one time. You have to land there as soon as you drop

Loving this chapter so far though, the hitscan combined with the new ARs is crazy but still fun and I like how the meta has changed instead of just spamy shotguns (and I say that as a fan of the gatekeeper and autofrenzy shottys). Changes help you learn new skills and i personally enjoy that aspect as it all goes in to making me a better player🙂

I gave up trying to win a long long long time ago. There is no way I'm ever going to beat these players so I just play for the quests and the adventures of ripping around the island. I'm currently at level 19 and I have not won a game yet and mostly likely will end the season with 1-3 crown wins. I'll never win back to back games though, I only get crown wins by picking up a crown and then somehow miraculously winning the game.

@@JasonArmstrong-b9p Its not the attitude that the problem, the problem is I'm 52 years old and a casual player. Might play 3 games and then don't play again for another 2 days. There is no way in hell I"m ever going to outgun, outmaneuver or win against these younger players who are far far far far better than I am. Some of us just aren't "gamer" types, instead we play games in a casual manner. I've come to terms that I'll never beat these players and with the limited amount of time I"m playing, I just go for the quests and XP collecting. For example, I could have all gold guns, full health and get the first few shots off, then the good player just shockwaves over to me, blasts me three times with his gray pistol and its game over and I didn't even hit them once. That shit get so frustrating that yeah... I gave up a long long time ago, I'll never beat these types of players and I'm fine with that.

But trying to win is too stressful and not fun anymore and hasn't been for a long time, its why I switched from trying to win, to trying to just have fun with the quests and enjoying the fun stuff on the map. As a casual player who has no interest in TRY HARD play style, or a I MUST WIN, or drop high kill games but rather I just wanted to enjoy a FPS game after a long day, with no interest in AIM TRAINING or HAVING TO DO XYZ, I can confidently say, due to a pathetic SBMM, this season we’ve become just fodder for every try hard and sweat. The game has lost its fun aspect, and I HATE having to go lobby after lobby after lobby in quads on EU just facing try hard squads, fully dressed in the same outfits, sweating solo - quad players, or full squads of super hero condom skin guys. I literally want to hop in. Drop 5 kills max, do some quests, and not worry about sweating or needing to do this or that to enjoy the game. But that no longer exists. You have to want to be good to play now.

Im not good and ive got a few wins this season so far. Always lose the crown next time but oh well. The swords pretty good. Theres almost always one in the bamboo spiral area on the bottom of the map. Head to the tunnel in a car, go in the doors on the right,head to the left in the room and pickaxe the object, revealing a hidden tunnel. Get back in the car. If you can hop out rright next to a person and melee them with the sword it usually turns out pretty good.

You are just one of those people that will never be happy. You can literally grab a typhoon blade. It is the most overpowered item in Fortnite right now. You don’t need to aim train or anything. You literally just need to not get caught out in the middle of the map with no movement or cover and let people come to you then slice them up…..if you have no interest in improving your game awareness, movement, aim, or just spamming a typhoon blade then you are in the wrong game mode. There are plenty of creative maps where you can casually mess around and still gain XP… I am the definition of a casual with terrible aim, but I have still found ways to win with the endless amount of movement options they give you and also the typhoon blade which you can spam with no skill

That part where you are just going around before island spawns is kinda how I feel in all my games this season. Before I used to loot up outside POI then go to the POI then move towards a bunker and each of those places you would find people, now it is go to the POI and then what?

I’m at 10 and that’s been unlucky. Died so many times when I just played it wrong by rushing a fight which annoys me more than getting killed by a better player. Easiest season so far for wins imo. The only real danger is how good the ARs are. So cars/mobility or cover are a must. Bikes are annoying. Lost count of the amount of times I’ve ran over someone on one several times and it doesn’t seem to damage them. That’s annoying.

I have two questions for the community, or Jake if he has time. 1. Is anyone else getting plastered by W-keying sword users? I tried to relax and pump, swap, pump them, but the damn Sentinel was doing about 30 damage, which equals one sword cut. The sword user just holds down the fire button and jumps around until I'm dead. Makes me think I should carry an smg instead of a shotgun like Dr Lupo. What do you think? 2. Jake seemed to full spray his Holo Twister most of the time. I think I'm still tap firing, which may be a leftover result of playing Chapter 5. Any reason to tap fire these weapons? The recoil is pretty low, so maybe not?

Why ppl call these new weapons hitscan? It’s not like twin mag hitscan I can pretty confidently say that at least lol. For me it’s just lower ballistics but still some time travel time + some recoil is there too
