I h8 the pump it’s weak… They need to buff it if anything… When I use the pump it’s always a slower process so I’d rather always switch to Pump/Combo but sure it look cool but it’s unnecessary when there’s the auto… You must take out the auto for this pump to be of any use… That’s just me tho.

About the Autoshotgun META, part of being good at Fortnite is knowing the META. When you pick up a pump, in a confined space, instead of the purple auto-shotgun, then you deserve to lose. So many times I've seen good players just refuse to use it, and then get frustrated when they lose. Yeah, the Auto-shotgun is easier to use, but what good is all your great skill, if you are sent to the lobby.

The whole meta this season is flat out not fun. Its completely based around snipers and auto shotguns, pretty much forcing you to have both to compete. Unless the ARs are reverted to hitscan and they buff the pump shotgun or add a better one, I won't be playing much longer same with a lot of people.

auto shotty needs to be vaulted, i've literally stopped playing br because i'm so bored of it, living in creative until season 2 drops. That player was decent at the start, such a shame they didn't make it, would have been good to watch them, you could just tell they were good from how they moved/used the surroundings in fights. IMO, I hope they vault the auto shotgun and don’t release it for at least a couple seasons. I’d be all for it to never come back, as well as any other auto shotgun lol. It’s such a brainless weapon, smgs are around for a reason.

Those auto shotgun 50/50s were painful to watch. As for snipers - I haven't really used them this season. I use controller and personally find them too tricky to aim effectively. I favour SMG, auto shotgun and AR with some mid-range scope. I've got the most wins this season since starting playing Fortnite so it seems to be working for me. Useful tips and guidance from these videos helped a lot too!

I despise when semi auto shotties are meta and aim and skill take a step back from relevancy in close range fights. In my opinion 190 with a mythic pump is ridiculous. Green pump from ch1 was hitting just a little less than that.

Things I hope to see in next season. 1. Vault auto shotguns, gimmie the Thunder pump, or Havoc. 2. Make vehicles mod-able at gas stations. 3. Hit scan weapons. 4. Vault all snipers. 5. Either remove loot island or make it useful. 6. Better story quests. I think being able to hire an NPC should only be possible after doing all of their quests. And the quests should be rich with voice overs (story telling, narrative). They got lazy with their story this season (yeah I’m the one guy who cares about that sort of thing, sue me). 7. No more modded weapons, or make modding a weapon just like selecting an augment. I am tired of by the time I mode my weapons, and then get out of the vault, and away from the storm and safely in zone, I’m down to the last 12 players. It makes the whole game feel like a quest to get mod bench access, and completely limits where I can drop.

I much prefer the pump-spray meta over the auto shotgun meta, which is why I liked Mega & Last Resort over Wilds & Underground. It also feels like they changed the sniper bullet physics, which - if true - really screwed with me this season. If next season is another auto meta, catch me going through my single-player library.

I consider myself a pretty decent player, played since the start of season 1 but sometimes I find that the shotgun fights are so random even when I hit them with 1 or 2 shots first I still die even when on 10 ping or under it’s so annoying

I agree with the pump meta. Before og I had been putting a lot of time into practicing between a pump and and smg and then all of that went out the window. I hope it changes next season. Same thing with snipers.

Thank you for pointing out the skill difference between the pump/spray meta and the frenzy. It’s massively lowered the skill gap and combined with snipers I’m sure I’m not the only ones who’s seen their win rate go down big time compared to chapter 4.

ugh, snipers this season. I don't see the skill in most players standing in the open trying to hit a headshot. They could easily fix this by bringing back the portable bush. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to the One Piece colab as I love this show. Highly recommend checking it out.

I couldn’t get manteling to work at all. So painful. Would be shot while spending 30 seconds trying to jump through the window. The secret is you need to look down at your feet. You can’t mantle when looking horizontally. So stupid….

I ended up joining the dark side and started using snipers this season.. and got pretty good with them too.. I personally always hated playing snipers in shooting games tho... so was glad when they were nerfed as its just not a playstyle i enjoy.. I even started playing more builds as sniping is not as popular lol Started using the pump more too now as auto shotty got boring..... striker pump combo and swapping is alot of fun to play

Next season I want to see some big map changes. Overall this has been the most boring map yet. No POIs feel very iconic, they all just feel like big clusters of buildings to me. Last season's vaults were fun, the POIs had variety. I've been playing this season less than any other.
