Hallo everybody! Gary the mothim again. Let me know if you liked the final evolutions of my starters, and tell me who is your favorite evolution line! :D I'm open to any feedback or criticism you may may have, for the designs, and for the video itself!

I definitely appreciate that you recognise that a lot of people don't like the humanoid designs as much, and made Bullution more animalistic because of that. The reason I dislike the humanoid designs is because they leave little interpretation for your connection to a Pokemon, and that goes back as far as gen 5 with stuff like Serperior, which is the least humanoid design anyway. Thinking back to Gen 1, you can imagine a Charizard being angry, but you can also imagine it being happy. Whereas Serperior will always be an asshole. Quaquaval will always be a dancer, but more importantly, it will always be flamboyant. But Skeledirge isn't a good design because it's monstrous. It's good because it doesn't actually have a set personality. I can imagine a Skeledirge being terrifying in the wild, but I can also imagine it being a cuddly friend. I don't want to be told what character my pokemon is. I want the chance to make my own stories in the world, and too much modern pokemon design is just character design.

Personally as an artist I like my pokemon to be characters and have visible personalities. But I can get behind your viewpoint too because it can be difficult to interpret for example quaquaval to have a timid personality. The anime tends to be great at giving pokemon like that a personality tho regardless. But as a regular player I totally understand preferring vaguer characters to get attached to.

I love all these!! The only critique I would have is removing the extra "e" in Rancherabbit. Pokémon typically simplifies names, thus Ranchrabbit. Lol regardless i love this big ol' bunny! Grass starter all the way. While i like the other two, I'm afraid the water line is to similar to Oshwott, whose line is also based on otters. I like the pirate like feeling of yours though❤ ❤❤

the bunnies came out really well,didn't see that salt of the earth type of farm evolution coming,the fire starter becoming a cow that lives on the farm,also wow,being able to get the connection going,the otter seems so outta of place though in terms of usually the starters having a thread,still looks awesome though

@@Garythemothim ok,so in gen 9 scarlet and violet,the theme for all 3 starters were that they all came from cultures,that spain conquered mardi gras with meowscarada,dia de los muertos with skeledirge,quaquaval with coiepera,(mexico,brazil,louisana) ,in england(gen 8) the 3 starters were based off of english culture,soccer,rock and roll and james bond,in gen 6(the french region)x and y,all 3 startes were based off of rpg classes,greninja being a ninja,delphox being the magician,and chesnaught being the knight class

@@Garythemothim you mentioned in the video, that there protests against using the fire starter, which has definitly happend, a farm nearby where i live got shut down a while ago cuz of it. Its mostly the goberment that decided it tho but there have been protests in the past

Ok They all turned out pretty good But for me personally I don't know if I like bullution for me the head is too small with all the smoke and that the is do big But that's just me😊😊
