Two things I've always wondered about the wired Missiles is: A) does the rocket not burn off that piece of wire ? B) do these vehicles actually have multiple kilometers of wire just stored inside ?

a) due to how fast the rocket is the wire probably does not have enough time to get hot and burn if the wire is stored and coming out of the missile b) probably located in the missile due to how thin the wire actually is( no idea about this)

Former TOW Gunner here. In the case of the TOW, the wire is actually in the rear of the missile itself. It does carry enough wire to travel the distance depending on the missile but most variants can go as far as 3750 meters, with later variants being 4500 meters. Once the missile is fired, the rocket motor only lasts for about a few seconds and then the missile glides to the target. The early variants of the TOW can be jammed. This was done by confusing the optical tracker unit which uses a thermal beacon on the back of the missile to guide the missile. The later TOW 2 variants introduced a Xenon Beacon which makes it harder to jam.

The TOW (The first one at least) can be jammed. Because it uses IR (I think?) or something like that, to determine the missile's position relative to where the scope is pointing. So it can be jammed. But from what I know, TOW-2 is immune to that.

No the TOW has always been wire guided, but it can be jammed by systems like shtorra, which came out about 15 years to late and no longer works on any modern missiles used by any competent military.

Ma I love the Panzerwerfer 42 (Pz.W. 42), it's an incredibly good and borderline OP tank. After a while the rockets become very easy to aim, and they almost always one shot the enemy. And btw, you can actually shoot directly forward with it, the MG doesn't have an effect on that.

Other thing iv'e noticed alot playing the warrior is that the milan is manually fired (i'm pretty sure anyway) yet even in the atgm sight if you don't extend the main gun over the crest of a hill aswell it acts like its lost sight of the atgm, kinda takes away the point of it being on top.

Pz. W. stands for "Panzerwerfer" and German again shows how weird and cool it is. Directly translated into English Panzerwerfer would be tank thrower or thrower of tanks. Which sounds funny, but isn´t really what the name means. It doesn't throw tanks, nor does the name suggest it does (not like the Nebelwerfer). A more faithful translation is armoured thrower. But that's also not really correct, because it doesn't "throw" rockets. It just is their transportation vehicle. The rockets are fired like any other rocket is. But "thrower" or Werfer is one of the German words for rocket launcher (rocket launcher means Raketenwerfer in German). Honestly I don't really know why that is (maybe someone knows why). To conclude Panzerwerfer just means Armoured rocket launcher. But it's funny when you translate it less faithfully.

You can actual reload all Ammo for every Vehicle in War thunder by the way you just need to get to a Capture Point your team Controls now some will 100% take a Good amount of Time to Reload but again you can reload all vehicles Also you can take out almost all tanks at the BR with those Missiles just have to hit them in the Correct place like the guy under the Bridge if you had pulled up and got lvl with him you could have possible smoked him. Also almost every tank that has Rockets/Missiles can adjust angle of attack even thou it doesn't look like it you need to change to secondary Weapon which will give you Sights for the Rockets/missiles ALSO FYI Maps do not always Measure the same distance per Square in each map, each map is actual different sizes on every map its fking nutz

@@PanzerPaw i recommend to you always having it at 200m , the gun (or wathever you are using) will behave nice and flat from 0 to 200 that way, and long range calculation are also easier to do because its already zeroed with an starting distance, its super useful with big stuff
