The fact that the BMP2-M and the 2S38 are both lower at BR than the HSTVL while being better than it at anything is criminal.

the fact that Gaijin still ignores the bug reports regarding penetration and damage on the HSTVL's round... the fact that they STILL don't give it air track/proxy he... yet the (practically) prototype 2S38 gets better stuff than it, at lower br, for money (easier to get than the HSTVL), as a PREMIUM, with lower crew training cost in SL... yeah. People can't say that russian bias does not exist when Gaijin actively goes out of their way to nerf any american tech because it is way better than the pact counterpart

Basically War Thunder's game director said he mains Russia, and only has US/GER/SWE/ISR at ranks 4-6, and that he plays naval arcade only lol But yeah, that explains why russian APHE rounds still overperform at angles, even years after it was disclosed... or this huge difference between the HSTVL suddenly getting a short rod and pen/damage nerf ahistorically but the not even put in service 2S38 gets all it's quirks on day 1

35:34 APDS-FS is a regular APDS with fins, therefore making it APFSDS, but not in a traditional way, traditional APFSDS is lenghtened, this is why it has relatively poor penetration for a 30mm apfsds. even warriors ***regular*** APDS has more pen.

Fun tip - if you chuck the m901 in CC1, the launcher won't fold up, so your time to fire is much much faster!

The firecrest is genuinely one of the best aircraft in tank RB. All of the german open topped and panzer tanks with 10mm of roof armor make it very effective at cas with some of the best dogfighting performance for a plane equipped with more than one 12.7mm

As an American main, the M901 was game changing when getting those thermal optics. Playing with the TOW while also using the M551's & M60A2's Shillelagh made games that were earning me 30k SL on a bad game and 50k-75K SL on a great game. Include the A-4E's Walleye guided bombs for CAS in a ground RB game and you've got a serious combination that absolutely wipes the floor with other countries at that BR.

Naval player here.Cas in naval isnt really a problem so maybe the firecrest is fine IF you fricking face an AA ferry,Firecrest is kinda good in bluewater fleet even though i dont even play that plane because low tier bluewater is the one with the least AA so you probably gonna havee a blast

If i may add, the F-5E CU should be in a tier above S though the reasoning is a little niche. In Sim battles, this thing is a literal god. Something not mentioned in the video is the RWR it has access too, being a NATO IFF RWR. For those unaware that means it tells you the plane type pinging you, so "F4" or "M2K" or "F14" etc. The advantage this gives you in the air Sim game mode against NATO planes in immeasurable. This alone essentially gives you absolute impunity to fly around the whole map with your radar off and able to sneak up on all enemies, tracking them with an insanely good RWR. With its ability to out perform every plane in its BR for flight performance and even punch up to 11.7 against the M2Ks... its incredible. Granted the RWR doesn't really serve a huge advantage other then ground RB for detecting incoming enemy planes and AAA, and in Sim. Though personally.... I'd give it S+

I used the Sea Harrier for grinding to British top planes. Due to the very good low speed thrust you can climb quite well and drop Aim-9Ls on low flying enemies that don´t see your missiles coming. I often got 2-3 kills right after the start of the match just because I launched missiles at the enemy base bombing train

And for the 262 A1a/U1, with the all the cannons in the nose, set different key bindings to each of the cannons. That way you have control over which cannon (specifically the 30mm) gets used for what. I always refer to the MK103 as the good 30mm. The MK108 is good for planes, nothing else.

minor error, the Swiss Hunter 58 has AIM-9Ps, not AIM-9Js. Its such a minor difference that it doesnt matter, but the Ps can be slaved to the radar so that can be useful

Use it in head-ons. It shreds anything, so you can basically get 2-3 kills at the very start of the game, and then do that again. Thus, you can grind events pretty fast

me262 a-1a/u1 is great for air RB in my opinion. when spaded you can do some decent maneuvers and avoid gunfire, but most importantly the guns here SHREAD anything it comes in contact with. a single well placed 30mm shot can oneshot a aircraft, and you got almost 300 shots of them. you can esally stack up kills with this aircraft

personal best 4 planes 5 tanks and 5 assists after I fully researched all of the equipment. I love the plane but only if you manage to carry the speed above 500kmh you can do decent things but if you drop under that you are done. Hit and run tactics work like a charm.

my first Squadron vehicle was the 262 and at first. i hated it it was clunky slow and i was constantly fighting things that i had zero way to counter. but now since its 7.3 it fits SEEMLESSLY into my 7.7 german lineup and ive done much better in ground RB working as a Semi-CAS/Anti-CAS role. and i have to say, its my best jet so far, and i own the F-4S

I actually feel that the 262 is very strong for air realistic, it gets an air spawn and can just about get on the same level as SU-11s, the cannons are a bit funny because you get 6 of them, they spread out a lot and they deal a lot of damage so all you have to do to get a kill is lead them in the rough direction and just spray, even if only 1 shell hits it will atleast crit the other guy and the flightmodel isnt even that bad as long as you avoid furballs and boom and zoom

You forgot, for me a big advantage on the BMP-2M. Because it can lock onto enemy aircrafts and kill them with its main or just shoot one of its 8 ATGMs (4×2) which surprisingly hit quite well even onto moving planes if they don't manoeuvre that much. I know you just forgot to mention it but that's why I made this comment, to let others know it can lock onto enemy aircrafts.

In naval arcade u can see what lineups a player used The squadron SKR 7 is often the only top tier vehicle a player have Imagine the majority of ground RB 10.0 matches with 3 Soviet players who spawn in the BMP2m, a bt5, and a kv1 (or only a BMP2m) That's basically the situation with the SKR7 bc ppl buy it so often

Important note about the M901, since it is a M113 chassis and Gaijin hates it, it will struggle to go up most inclines your normal tanks might, keep that in mind too. (Also it should be W-E tier)

Genuine hot take maybe, but i quite enjoy the firecrest. Back in the day, it was criminally over brd, at i think 3.3. Even then it had a pretty strong engine, but now at the lower br, the engine is very good, M3 .50s are very good with the higher fire rate and better damage, and it still turns fairly decently
