I, a lowly F2P player K35, was able to successfully defend against a heavy coiner K40/M43 using a lot of what you have taught us. He did not bring all of the layers, just 4 of each type at the top. It was an epic victory for me, and I will not share the details of just how epic it was. As you have illustrated, there is much to this game that can give you a distinct advantage that once independently discovered must be kept secret. Thank you again. Your work is greatly appreciated.

Hey JW, thank you for this video, and even more I want to say thank you for not giving us all the answers. Obviously you do it to maintain the strategic advantage, but I like it because it’s sort of like learning a new concept in school. You give us the basic concept, some questions to consider about how to properly implement it, and then set us free to figure it out for our gameplay. It gives us room to discover some concepts for ourselves and truly understand what we’re doing

Thanks for the feedback! Its not for strategic advantage though! If it was I would literally just not make vids! I have found when people do things without understanding-they get bent sideways and cause disaster!!! I will elaborate on my next vid!

That’s funny because I have a 3.6M march size and have been using 10k layers for a while but I am going to look at bulking up specific ones depending upon type of troop for different attacks and will probably raise every layer a bit more. I have been doing march size research in MA5 so I was going to have to make some changes anyway. But I really appreciate your videos and how you explain everything! I’m definitely going to be going back and watching all of your videos again a few times and making sure that I have a firm grasp on everything! 🙏🤗

The people who watch vids like this and claim BS are just trying to keep other people from using it. Especially the C1/2 guys. I know, i used to see them messaging and laughing at the fact people believed them

Good to see the green power of the assistant explained. I dont pvp much but i solo monster hunt on the enemy server. My assistant is Greene to manage my stamina supply. But i cultivated him 500x4, put on civ gear and have a spirit beast on him. That green power helps push up the overall march power. I just do not have the blood of ares or runestones to get more power out of a monster assistant. i take the civ gear from another general. I was using a dragon from another general...but i kept forgetting to put him back. the one hour cool down is such a pain. so i just keep a spirit beast on Greene. Just to be clear...the bigger layers are best for holding a target like temple, relic, rss spot or tower? 1 v 1 situation...

Very interesting, we have a mentor in our alliance from a very old server who taught us to use a percentage based layering system but for some reason we veered away from it to using the smaller layers.

Well, I had already increased my ground march layers to 10k and it’s been pretty sweet since I did. Smart guy in the alliance gave me that advice a month ago. You are absolutely correct that people will be switching marches now that it’s out there 😂. Problem is depth. If your keep defense has 1m of a troop layer, sending 10k or better with each march will slowly eat up your defense. It takes time to get over 10b let alone 20b 😏. Thanks for the vid. I understand your theory when it's march vs march like at a temples or buildings in battlefield, but when you're attacking a city that has a 100k of each type of troops let's say, is that really matters how much layers you send??

Yes…because the longer your layers last, the longer your troops do damage.

I did it, but noticed a change when they did the k45 update. I am thinking i have to do an update vid with the changes when i’m done figuring them out. The battle mechanics changed vastly

Welcome back. Question, do you know if any of the troops that are revived in round one due to the death to revival stats will attack with the other troops in that layer for round 2? Or are they sidelined until the battle is over?

Sidelined till battle is over! Thats the point, they are DEAD, and are revived AFTER the battle.

If the assistant power helps, in what end? It's kinda hard to test on barbs cause barbs troop composition differs even if same size. This got me curious but I'm still doubtful it helps on anything unless of course definite proof show up 😊

Then take two baibars. Refine one, move it up and give it arch gear. Keep the other one naked. Hit a stimpy bird and tell me if wounded changes…(i already know)

@@JWevony is the test you did a solo? Cause if rally participants can affect monster debuff by joining with dragon set sanada etc. I'm not trying to say it doesn't help what I'm trying to get at is how? How does it affect battles.

hello mate, you responded a few times that the K45 update brought many changes - amongst others changes to battle mechanics. Layer size starter recommendation still valid from your point of view? I plan on experimenting tomorrow with Server war either way. im a fairly new player, that used to have fatter layers as a way to fill out march. Thene ventually consolidated and upgraded those layers to higher troop. as i result i do think i lost efficiency, so now time to tweak again 🙏

Yes, 💯 % still valid. Am a middle k43 rn, and used it to out edge a k45 w t16’s and 4300 buffs this weekend (amongst other tricks and changes)

@@JWevony thanks for reply! I have indeed switched layer sizing a tad since my post and am liking the results! I'm playing a ghostable attack k37 and am still filling out my attack marches (need a few more cavs and like a lot more siege machines). I love your videos and definitely manage to pick some nice concepts for my own playstyle. I'm trying to up my blazon gamey but the convoluted wording makes me crazy thanks a lot again!

I tried comparing the damage to the alliance boss with the same assistant, but one had a power less than 200k, and the other was over 4.3mil. I got the same amount of damage and wounded.

They changed this when they updated to k45. Along with a LOT of other things, including battle mechanics
