This song was actually different for me. I enjoyed the video more than the song the first time around, but when I found myself humming the chorus melody at work the next day I realized I should give it another listen. It crept up on me and now its been stuck in my head for the last week solid.

I'm sure many of you here WILL be here when the wild wave comes. I'm a good thirty to forty years older than you, no doubt, so I will only see the beginnings of it then I'll be dead. I'm so sorry for those born in the last fifteen years or so who will have to suffer the full blow of it. Remember, until then....it's human contact, not social media, that makes memories. Be gentle on yourselves, stay in the moment, enjoy nature and enjoy music while you can. This album is bordering on masterpiece, btw.

Everything Everything has been my favorite band since I discovered Man Alive when it was their only album. But I'm generally terrible about keeping up with music news and recent music and such. I had no idea that the band suffered a studio fire before recording this album. The presence of those burned instruments in this video, getting one last hurrah before their funeral makes this song even more impactful to me. Somehow its perfect. I'm sorry for the fire and all the stress it must have caused, but thank for turning it into such a beautiful and impactful artistic statement. I'm not sure if you wrote the song because of the experience, or if the coincidence was just that perfect, but it all resonates with me immensely.

Hearing this song as I spent years trying to figure out what the fuck was wrong with me make me tear up. It turns out I may simply have problems with food, allergies or I'm not quite sure but heck something bad enough to start destroying me from the inside... I'm ways too familiar with going to bed and feeling like I hated everyone. Stuck with migraines that ravaged my psyche and make my sense of self explode on several occasions. So yeah, there's something really heartwarming in hearing a song that mention a sort of "unconditional love"... Like knowing there are people which are going to be there when the wave hits again. Thankfully they won't hit soon for me (I partly know what's up) but I hope this song bring comfort to people in similar situations. (Sorry if my English is flawed btw, it's not my native language) it's a beautiful song :)
