It's funny that it's a known fact all these new hollow motors have unsealed bearings that aren't protected against the environment elements they're ridden in. You mention the roads had been ploughed, salted and there was only slush. As soon as I heard the word "salt" that's asking for issues especially mixed with some water it's going to corrode/rust metal at a fast rate.

The way people praise the EXN over the EX has me thinking that suspension on an EUC just ain't worth it. I always thought that it would take too much away from these inherently simple machines. And adds too much bad stuff. Weight, size, maintenance, complexity. And I'm beginning to think I'm right. I'll still try one some day. But I doubt it will ever be my "go to" wheel. For me the Sherman is fine. I ride over these hardcore speed bumps at 60 km/h. Even my minivan can't do that. Without destroying the suspension that is. The Sherman is simply....... ✨amazing✨

Great honest review vid.. If you are able to have input with the EUC manufacturers, maybe suggest to them to have lights with a fresnel lens. It's the lens used on lighthouses (and searchlights), credited with saving millions of ships, invented in 1822. It concentrates the light into a relatively narrow beam. Even if made from cheaper plastic, it would dramatically increase brightness of the head/tail lights. Maybe use the super bright Cree (US brand) LED light, or the equivalent Chinese knock off. I think i am missing something(my understanding of torque)...to me, a wheel that has torque TAKES OFF AND BRAKES with hella result....i think my mspt does that. I have tried the sherman a few times and would never put it in da same torque category yet i was looking fwd to the ex or exn for my next wheel(just for that EXTRA torque) and am not so sure about that now. What could b a gr8 "torque-vid" would b : mspt, ex(n) , a mcm5 (for good measure) and Sherman torque(0-30/40-0kph) and switch(cuz some riders may torque a wheel better than another and some riders are better at exploiting a wheel at low speeds and others exploit beeps better.....and then finish that vid with max speed😏 of course😉😅😂

You need to have the same rider test each wheel with the same type of side pads. If you have a rider experienced with their wheel, of course they'll be able to use it to its full potential a lot better. When they did the Sherman vs the EXN, I was disappointed they didn't switch riders. After riding for a while, you get to know the limitations of your wheel and know how hard you can push it. The EXN, being a new wheel, there's some fear in the back of your mind telling you not to push it so hard.

Would this not be better with a bigger wheel like the Z10 for 70km/h on Asphalt? thx 🤙🇦🇹✌ 6min. crazy fast lol 😅 9min. How fast was the jump? Seated must be hard and dangerous 🤭😅 I think after 5 years driving i would say 50km/h is enough with the Z10 straight but if you want go up a Hill it would be good to drive 60 or more...if you can handel it not for nooby's. ^^

Now we all know you play role at home. Impressive acting. Instead of saying “should you get” you should say “let me help you be financially irresponsible”. I figure that would be better to say so no one can get triggered about what you think 👌🏼 great video.

Sorry you say that the exn is the most torqu-y wheel but at the beginning you say that Sherman is torquier

@@evXNYC i guess ‘yep’ means EXN < Sherman. Quite surprised because 2800 watts motor compared to 2500 watts of the Sherman

@@Babyfasty yes as we have learned here, cramming the biggest everything into a wheel does not maketh the best. The control board is 80% of the battle.

Wait a minute... So over greasing the bearings and then reattaching the seal wouldn't solve the problem? What's that vacuum's issue all about? That wonder kid Chooch didn't report any trouble about it and by God that he drowned those bearings in Marine red stuff...!!

i absolutly can NOT understand how anyone still can recommend a GW hollow motor AT ALL! These problems will not get fixed until Gotway will use some REALLY high tech Bearings! And Surprise...high tech bearings cost THAT much money EACH, that they probably never will end up in a GW wheel/motor.... Not that everyone has ONLY the risk of replacing the bearings after some miles ....when the water/rust gets further into the motor chamber, you need also about 4-5 hours cleaning/brushing the inside of the motor from rust. (i had the pleasure allready...) The hollow motors bearings are just way to near to the ouside of the rim, the surface which can catch water is to big etc etc....while small normal motor bearings never even get in the near of water.... But ok, thats just my opinion ...May be its a good summer wheel :-)

There is another problem with hollow motors and it is even more serious than the poor quality of the bearings! Dozens and dozens of RS and EX wheels suffer from the "tock" problem ... a loud noise caused by the misalignment of the bearing assembly, housing and stator .... Nobody is talking about this problem, it happened to me and it is a extremely serious problem. This is a design flaw that can happen at any time, it happened to me after a few km but it could go up to 100 before it manifests itself. Gotway sent me a pair of bearings to solve the problem and this reveals their lack of knowledge of the problem. The bearings are not faulty but the aluminum housing and side covers are faulty, in short, a design flaw linked to non-respected tolerances and poor materials.
