That 'significant jump' in braking distance between 30mph and 40mph is nothing to do with this particular wheel, it's just physics. Just becuase you are going 33% faster doesn't mean it should take 33% longer to stop. Momentum is exponentially related to velocity, 40mph is 78% more momentum than 30mph. So assuming it pulls the same g force in deceleration it would take 78% more distance to stop. Same in all vehicles.

Great video and feeling of the master! now and almost by accident I change my scooter Zero 10 X (I was not using it any more It seems a vehicle from the past after riding euc´s), for the master V4 (I usually ride a v12 HT and HS which I love) but now, as you sayed this is the perfect ride for the city, the power and the suspension works just great (not a off road suspension, but great for commuting) up gradeing from a V12 is like going from bmw650 to bmw1250cc I am so happy now!!! I just find that some of the app changes doesn't save for the next ride you have to change them every time you turn on the wheel (the horizontal angle)

Great video on the Master, the start of the 134V EUC evolution. Right call on getting that street tire…nobody seems to really love that stock knobby. Love everything about the Master except that battery size. Just hard to go to anything lower than 2700 Wh nowadays. Armoring this wheel feels a lot like the old school project of how to build a box to protect an egg.

Lov what Clark pads came up with for the Master. Looks as good as factory but far more functional. Lov the vid!!! BTW, if one needs a knobby, think Duro hf307. It has a lot more roundish profile & an asymmetrical tread/knobby pattern that ensures there's no space btwn knobs when turning. Have it on my RSt & lov it. Had the CST knobby (same as Master) on the EXN it was work getting it to do anything. Swapped it for a Pilot & ya, EXN's a different animal now. Lov the vid so churn out more...

The reason why it takes so much longer to stop from 40 than 30 is because kinetic energy is proportional to velocity squared. Thus twice the speed requires 4 times the work and 4 times the stopping distance. There may be other factors like wind resistance, the motors torque curve, etc. but the kinetic energy is the main reason.

Amazing short movie as intro! On top speed, the internal speedo overestimates the speed quite a bit so that was wise to note that speed increase vs current 100.8V wheels is not that massive. However high-drain variants will be faster, and probably a bit safer too. That'll be an interesting wheel to flash with a custom firmware with some extra safety margin for beeps and dynamic tiltback.

@redfoxdude2 жыл бұрын
The Master is such a fun wheel! Definitely looking forward to getting one. Sweet video! Funny, a coil shock should actually be smoother and more comfortable (less stiction than an air shock), but having a suspension mechanism with lots of friction like on the S20 really eliminates the benefits of a coil. It should be much more responsive and filter the small bumps well with a coil vs air, but the fact it doesn't shows that the mech (I'm looking at those sliders...) is hindering the performance of the coil. It's unfortunate that Begode made the leverage ratio so high on the Master's linkage (nearly 3 to 1), which is why it requires such high pressure in the shock. If we can design a custom linkage with a more progressive response for bottom-out resistance and a lower leverage ratio, we could have some real fun playing with coils and other air shocks. I saw some concepts in the Master telegram group, I look forward to seeing where they go!

Cutout wouldn't be a problem if Begode would implement a tiltback based on how Kingsong did it. With my 18xl I don't have to worry to to adapt my riding style to the battery level because tiltback always safes me. But when it comes to Begode wheels nobody seems to want that.
@LemonySnicket-EUC2 жыл бұрын
This wheel has tilt back according to EUCO info on website. "BEGODE MASTER SPECS Battery: 2400Wh / 1920Wh, 134V Max Range: ~60-70 / ~50 miles Motor: 3500W nominal, peaks much higher Top Speed: ~50+ mph Safety Warning System: Alarms & Tilt-back (configurable in app) Built-in Handle: Retractable trolley, anti-spin lift button Lights: Powerful quad Nikola-style LED headlights, rear taillight Speakers: Beeper for alarms and system sounds, Bluetooth music not supported "
@MaximilianGros2 жыл бұрын
@@LemonySnicket-EUC Yes, tiltback at a fixed speed. Helps just as much as a seat belt in the trunk. What we need is voltage-dependent tiltback that effectively prevents wheel overpouring at all times and under all conditions, as has been the case with Kingsong for ages. Sure, you lose 3 or 4 kph top speed, but you don't risk getting yourself hospitalized or even killed all the time. That's where the difference between Gotway fanatics and "normal" drivers seems to lie.
@darkstar44942 жыл бұрын
The increase in required stopping distance does not vary linearly with speed, because kinetic energy does not vary linearly with speed. It will take more than 1/3 additional distance to stop from 40 compared with 30.

Thx for the vid! I was so surprised though at the end when you say it's your favorite EUC to date. I really appreciate you covering all the drawbacks. But unless I missed it I didn't get a feel for all the pros that counteracted them to such a high extent. But it seems like performance and overall ride experience is the answer? Good seated, good wide stance, great torque, fast and very comfy. Just be careful bc it has high battery sag, and be sure to never cut out bc that will destroy your battery packs right away due to no shell. And you must swap out the tire and shocks . And the range sucks. Good luck ^^

More power, more speed is not a linear relationship, it is closer to being a square law, twice the speed requires four times the power. Power in Watts is equal to the Voltage x the Current (W=VI). Higher voltages generally make it easier to draw higher currents therefore more Watts. There is always a compromise, for a given capacity of battery, if you configure the cells for high voltage, then the maximum current will reduced, configured to supply lots of current then that will be at a lower voltage. Higher voltages also require components spec'd accordingly and efficiency may suffer, the voltages are getting high enough to be dangerous in themselves (be careful what you touch).
