Evy’s check up | Taking the kids to work.

We haven’t talked about Evelyn’s cranial concerns until now because we really didn’t know what to expect. We finally got an appointment at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital with the Cranial/Facial Doctor and had a scan done to make sure her skull was growing correctly. We are SO SO thankful that everything looks okay and that she doesn’t need any further appointments! (Just praying it continues to grow normally)
Later in the video I take the kids to visit Austin at work and Gideon was so excited to see the concrete trucks! Love my little family and this life the Lord has given us.

I never said there was anything wrong with it. He is the dad. Just me personally I would want to be there to comfort, ask my questions and listen to what the Dr says. Not judging, just my personal preference as a mom.

I love that you take the kids to Austin’s worksites. I remember going to job sites with my dad when I was a kid and I treasure those memories so much and getting to see what he built and the work he put into each build. Your kids will have the same special memories one day and they’ll learn so much through the time they spend at various building sites. My brother started taking his kids to work when they were just little. The girls had little pink construction hats. To this day they love hanging out on his worksites. So glad Evy is ok. You guys have the sweetest kids. They’re just precious....and always seem happy with a smile on their faces. I knew you and Austin would be amazing parents.

Joy my sutures fused at a young age, when I was 13 they did surgery. I have significant delays in my motor skills. I am so excited that Evie is okay and doesn't need anything done. Will keep you all in my prayers, love y'all so much.

I don’t know if you will ever see this, but I have 2 children that did have their skulls fused together too soon. It is called craniosynostosis. Feel free to comment back if you want to hear more, but both my boys are wonderful. They both had surgery. My oldest had to have the full surgery it is called a CVR & my youngest had the less invasive surgery but wore a helmet for a year...... it is scary but it is not the end of the world, I promise!! praying for her!!

I had craniosynostosis and had to have surgery at 8 weeks old. This was back in the 90s. Glad it’s becoming better known!

My daughter just got diagnosed with this. It’s her sagittal suture on top of her head. But they’re not sure she will have to have surgery because it’s mild so far. It does make me nervous.

My reasoning is that I wouldn't know what to expect and my husband does better (than myself) in situations where we don't feel prepared in advance. So if it was a specialist and I'd never been there before I also would rather be in the car. sometimes my husband can't get off work but if he were able to be the one...

Soooo thankful she is fine!!! Even if she did have to wear a helmet, she’d still be beautiful! My husband is a Board Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist and fits babies with helmets often. They can now put whatever design you can imagine on the helmets and they look so cute!!! God bless and as always give thanks. BTW: your bangs are even cuter than they were before. As a parent when our kids may be or are facing some potentially serious issues the fear and nerve-wracking days and nights can only be understood by another parent.
