I think that Myrtha should not be just cold. She is not feelingless. She died of a broken heart just like Giselle, she is sad and angry and vengeful. Not just cold. Showing a little emotion is okay.

Great upload - thank you! I think Kondaurova is unassailable as Myrtha today: she has the aura, the beauty and the cold, implacable majesty - as well as that wonderful Vaganova technique! I wish so much I could see her actually perform this onstage.

I agree with the very first post. Not Terekhova, but Myrtha. I think it is the most difficult part in the entire classical ballett. It is great shame that Vaganova school cannot bring up a dancer that would master it. Tatiana we bitterly miss you.

Ottima la fibrillazione dei passi sulle punte in eundo veloce della ballerina. Ottima la fluente levità fatta tensione motile ed elanista da parte della ballerina. Grande impressione di fluente levità fatta tensione motile ed elanista da parte della ballerina che contempla nella sua performance una ottima serie di passi sulle punte in eundo veloce e delle sforbiciate volanti trasverse Mirabili.Grande impressione di esecutività d'acchito. A very “decorative” Myrtha. Looks pretty, but not Myrtha. I imagine Myrtha as an imperious, commanding and bitter lady, the romantic age equivalent of a divorced woman over forty with children, who unwittingly perhaps, carries too much baggage to ever be able to attract another partner. Also, the mannish, athletic choreography demands a ballerina like Maria Alexandrova or Natalia Osipova - girls who can really, really jump.
