It’s a great shame that Ewan Bowed to Salford councils plea that he changed the lyric from smelt the spring on a “Salford wind” to “sulphur wind” The original lyric is always sang by Rod Stewart among others.

Only thing is the original words by Ewan MacColl were , I found my love by the gasworks croft so ultimately a tribute should be his words not the words the multiple Irish artists use. Just sayin :)
